CSKA Moscow won the 2016 Euroleague title, beating 101-96 in an amazing final game the Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul. The men of coach Itoudis started really good the game, closing the first half with 20 points of advantage. The first points of the Final are for De Colo, Kalinic and Hines. Datome scores with the foul, Higgins answers by 3 but Bogdanovic finds two points, after the offensive rebound, for the 8-7 Fener after 3 minutes. Thanks to the great start of the Italian forward the Turkish team is on +4, but with a personal partial of 5-0 it's Vorontsevich to give to his team the first advantage of the game. Teodosic is ready from the bench with the 3-points shot, Vesely and Datome find the tie but Higgins scores again from the distance for the 20-15 CSKA. Hickman completes the 2+1 play, Udoh blocks but the first quarter ends 22-20 with the basket of Khryapa. Moscow tries to increase the gap starting the second quarter, but with Dixon and the free throws the men of Obradovic are again ahed 27-26, before the basket of the regular season MVP and the dunks of Vorontsevich and Kurbanov, forcing the Turkish timeout. Teodisc scores by 3 for the 35-29, CSKA loses an important possession but it's always in control, thanks to the points from the corner of De Colo (40-30 at 17'). With an amazing defense and the great offensive work CSKA reaches the 20-points lead, closing 50-30 the first half with a 13-0 open partial.
Fener tries the reaction with Vesely, but Hines answers with the basket and the additional free throw. Vorontsevich sets the block on the Czech center, CSKA loses three consecutive balls and Istanbul back on -17, despite the errors of Vesely from the free throws line (1/10). Sloukas scores two times in penetration, Antic tries to help his team but CSKA keeps away the opponents with the couple De Colo-Teodosic (65-48 with 90 seconds to play). The baskets of Jackson and Dixon close the third period, 69-53 for the Russian. Udoh opens the last quarter of the season with the dunk in tap-in, correcting his error. Khryapa is perfect from the corner, the Nigerian center dunks again thanks to the assist by Datome and with Antic the Turkish team is away 'only' 12 points. Dixon with the steal, Vorontsevich with block and Udoh with the basket for the 74-64 at 34'. The Russian forward commits his fifth foul on Datome (2/2) but it's Khryapa to find the 3-pointers for the new +11. The Italian player answers with the same coin, Antic is perfect from the free throw line and is 77-71 with 5 minutes left. Udoh dunk after the basket of Hines, Dixon it's magic with the offensive rebound and the 3-pointers for the -3, turning on the many Fenerbahce fans in Berlin. CSKA grabs an important offensive rebound but loses the ball, Kalinic makes the same across but De Colo miss his shot cause the great defense of Udoh. Dixon in penetration scores for the 78-79, Teodosic finds De Colo with a perfect assist, and CSKA is now on +3 with 50 seconds to play and timeout on the court. Dixon scores an amazing 3-points shot for the tie, De Colo loses the possession in penetration and Sloukas is perfect from the free throws line for the 83-81. Khryapa in tap-in sets again the tie, leaving just 1.9 seconds to the Fener attack. Udoh miss the last shot and it's overtime in Berlin!
Sloukas scores immediately by 3, De Colo reduces the distance with the free throws and Higgins finds two points in fast-break for the 87-86.
