The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets.

An interesting game for Samara-SGEU (13-6) which hosted in Samara second-ranked Universitet-Yugra (12-5). Third ranked Samara-SGEU had an easy win 89-63. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Samara-SGEU dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Universitet-Yugra's 30. They outrebounded Universitet-Yugra 45-29 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Universitet-Yugra helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Power forward Evgeny Fidiy (207-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Dmitriy Golovin (192-88) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international center Aleksey Fedorchuk (208-86, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) answered with 12 points and 9 rebounds for Universitet-Yugra. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Samara-SGEU moved-up to second place. Universitet-Yugra at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. Samara-SGEU are looking forward to face MBA Moscow (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Universitet-Yugra will play against Ryazan (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
Twelfth-ranked Khimky-Podmoskoye (3-16) used its home court advantage to challenge ninth ranked Ural Ekaterinburg (9-11). The visitors from Ekaterinburg managed to secure only three-point victory 68-65. However their fans expected easier game. It was a great evening for point guard Maxim Tkachenko (185-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 5 assists. Kirill Gornaev helped adding 10 points and 8 rebounds. The former international point guard Egor Vyaltsev (193-85, agency: Alti Sport) responded with 17 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ural Ekaterinburg maintains ninth place with 9-11 record. Khimky-Podmoskoye lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Ural Ekaterinburg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
