Smorkachev's 27 points give him Superleague 2 Player of the Week award - Mar 7, 2017

Smorkachev
19-year old guard Vladislav Smorkachev (192-G-97) had an amazing evening in the last round for Dynamo-CBK and receives a Eurobasket.com Superleague 2 Player of the Week award for round 31.
He had the game-high 27 points adding three assists for Dynamo-CBK in his team's victory, helping them to crush Burevestnik (#7, 13-20) with 21-point margin 106-85. Dynamo-CBK maintains the 5th position in Russian Superleague 2. Dynamo-CBK is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 16-16 record. In the team's last game Smorkachev had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 11 attempts. It's his second year at Dynamo-CBK and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Vladislav Smorkachev averages this season 10.6ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Andrey Semenov (201-F-90) of Runa Basket. He is a forward in his first season at Runa Basket. In the last game Semenov recorded impressive 18 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Runa Basket lost that game 74-88 to the higher-ranked Stroitiel Engels (#4, 17-16). Runa Basket are still at the very bottom. 29 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Runa Basket managed to get this year. Semenov is a newcomer at Runa Basket and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.3ppg (#1). He also registered 7.2 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Artem Pisarchuk (205-C/F-92) of Burevestnik (#7). Pisarchuk scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Despite Pisarchuk's great performance Burevestnik lost 85-106 to slightly higher-ranked Dynamo-CBK (#5, 16-16). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Burevestnik not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 20 games, recording just thirteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Pisarchuk could try to bring Burevestnik's a little bit higher in the standings. Pisarchuk has individually a great season in Russia. After 30 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.4ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 7.1rpg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Anton Bogdan (198-F/C-86) of Cheb.Yastreby - 16 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Anton Ageev (191-G-84) of Stroitiel Engels - 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Nikita Tkachenko (205-F/C-94) of Cheb.Yastreby - 23 points and 6 rebounds
7. Vladimir Chichaykin (187-PG-91) of Dyn-Magn.ChL - 16 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Igor Kaytukov (195-G/F-90) of Dynamo-CBK - 18 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists
9. Aleksandr Zaykin (206-C/F-84) of Stroitiel Engels - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Ilya Chernov (188-G-89) of Burevestnik - 20 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
