The Regular Season in Superleague 1 just ended.

The most important game in the last round took place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk between third ranked Samara-SGEU (15-8) and fourth ranked Sakhalin (15-8) on Friday night. Samara-SGEU was defeated by Sakhalin on the road 92-81. 27 personal fouls committed by Samara-SGEU helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Aleksey Golyahov (190-84, agency: AproK Sports Group) fired 21 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. The former international power forward Artem Yakovenko (205-88, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Alexey Zhukanenko (210-86, agency: Alti Sport) produced 20 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sakhalin have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Irkut and Samara-SGEU.

Serdar Annaev contributed with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international center Ruslan Pateev (213-90, college: Arizona St., agency: Alti Sport) replied with 21 points for Khimky-Podmoskoye. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Universitet-Yugra have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-5 record behind leader Novosybirsk. Khimky-Podmoskoye at the other side keeps the twelfth place with 19 games lost.

Rest of the games of round 28 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Ural Ekaterinb. was defeated by TEMP-SUMZ in Revda 73-58. Irkut smashed Kupol-Rodniki at home 79-52. Ryazan was destroyed by Spartak-Prim. on the opponent's court 90-63.
The best stats of 28th round was 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks by Maksim Polyakov of TEMP-SUMZ.

TEMP-SUMZ - Ural Ekaterinb. 73-58

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Ural Ekaterinburg (9-14) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked TEMP-SUMZ Revda (13-10) 73-58. TEMP-SUMZ Revda had a 39-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Uzbekistani center Sergey Karaulov (214-82) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. Center Maksim Polyakov (205-84, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. Guard Artem Komissarov (199-90) replied with 5 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Maxim Tkachenko (185-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 12 points in the effort for Ural Ekaterinburg. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. TEMP-SUMZ Revda have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 13-10 record. Ural Ekaterinburg lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 14 games lost.

Irkut Irkutsk outrebounded Kupol-Rodniki 41-28 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kupol-Rodniki was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for point guard Gleb Gerasimenko (182-88) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. Forward Konstantin Novikov (202-87) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Irkut Irkutsk players scored in double figures. Spartak-Prim. forced 22 Ryazan turnovers and outrebounded them 38-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for guard Fedor Klyuchnikov (192-90) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 5 assists.
