Robert Archibald will retire after Olympic Games in London - May 16, 2012

Robert Archibald (212-C/F-80, agency: Priority Sports, college: Illinois) announced that he will retire after the Olympic Games in London. The Scottish bug guy will play for the Great Britain National Team. Archibald spent this season with CAI Zaragoza. He appeared 24 times in Liga Endesa averaging 4 points and 3.3 rebounds. Before Zaragoza, the center spent three years with Unicaja Malaga. In the past he also played for Azovmash, Joventut Badalona, Valencia, Toronto Raptors, Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies. He graduated at the University of Illinois in 2002. Robert Archibald is active member of the British National Team since 2007. Last summer he had 4.5 ppg and 5 rpg for 2 games at the EuroBasket in Lithuania. Robert Archibald was the FIBA EuroCup champion in 2006 with Joventut. In 2008, he won the Ukrainian Cup and title with Azovmash and was named Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Superleague Player of the Year.

It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in National League, but even now we can clearly see the difference between stronger teams and outsiders. Coincidentally all hosts won their games.
