FYR MACEDONIA - SCOTLAND 80-61

FYROM was too strong for Scotland on Saturday 80-61. It was the Semifinals game of 2012 EuroBasket for Small Countries in Ohrid. The hosts advanced to the Gold medal game, where they will meet Austria. At the other side, Scotland will try to grab the Bronze at this event. Their rival will be Malta. FYROM blasted Scotland in Q2 and later had no troubles to keep the lead. Quarters: 23-22, 25-9, 13-18, 19-12. Slavica Dimovska (175-G-85) led the hosts with 18 points and 6 assists. Monika Gavriloska (190-F/C-76, agency: Global Sports Plaza) had 17 points, 12 rebs and 6 assists, while Ana Tanturovska (174-G-90) added 16 pts. In Scotland, Deanne Hayward (170-G-91) was better than the others with 18 points. Gillian Baird (182-F-88) had 16 points and 10 rebs. Sunday is the last day of the championship.
