Monaco U16 - Scotland U16 61:53

Monaco claimed the crown at the U16 European Championship in Division C. They held off Scotland in the title game in Gibraltar tonight. Alessandro Generale (185-C-96) scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to pace the winners.
Scotland led by a single point at the first break 11:10. Monaco turned things around in the second quarter. They posted a 29:19 halftime lead. The teams traded baskets throughout the third quarter. Monaco managed to ensure a 10-point lead at the final intermission. Scotland got within a single point midway through the final frame but Alessandro Generale and Daniel Pieper (185-F-96) helped Monaco regain the lead. They never looked back afterwards and cruised to the victory at the end. Daniel Pieper nailed 16 points and grabbed 13 boards for Monaco. Pierrick Motillon (177-PG-97) and Marechal added 7 points each for the winners. Gregor Gray (193-G/F-96) answered with 16 points and 11 rebounds for Scotland. Rian Neill (188-PF-96) netted 12 points in the loss.
