Belarus U18 - Scotland U18 78:52

Belarus clinched the first win at the U18 European Championship in Division B. They drubbed Scotland in Group A action tonight. Viktar Ilyukevich (203-PF-94) and Yahor Patupchyk (191-SG-94) knocked down 13 points each to lead the winners.
Belarus left Scotland far behind in the first quarter. They established a 22:9 lead at the first intermission. Belarus dominated in the second quarter. They recorded a 38:22 halftime lead. Belarus stayed in charge throughout the second half. They piled up a 25-point buffer before the fourth frame and never looked back en route to the victory. Pavel Bliznets (205-C-94) contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Matthew Wilcox (196-PF-94) answered with 17 points for Scotland. Joshua McGilvray (201-C-95) netted 10 points in the loss.

Host teams show no mercy winning all games. Bottom-ranked Stirling K. managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of six consecutive losses on Friday night. This time newly promoted Stirling K. won against fifth-ranked Edinburgh U. 77-62.
