National League Round 6: Glasgow loses to Edunburgh Kings in the game between Top 4 teams - Oct 28, 2012

The game between Top Four teams took place in Edunburgh. Top-ranked host Edunburgh Kings (6-0) smashed 4th ranked Glasgow (3-3) 85-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Glasgow. Undefeated Edunburgh Kings have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with C.Eriksson F. Glasgow at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Boroughmuir and Stirling K.. Edunburgh Kings is looking forward to face Glasgow Rocks II (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Glasgow will play against Boroughmuir (#5) in Edunburgh and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
National League top team - Clark Eriksson Fury (6-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked St.Mirren S. (2-3) in Falkirk 101-97. Undefeated Clark Eriksson Fury have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record, which they share with Edinburgh K. St.Mirren S. at the other side dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. Clark Eriksson Fury will play against Stirling K. (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. St.Mirren S. will play against Troon T. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Glasgow Storm (0-6) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to sixth ranked Boroughmuir (3-3) 72-64 on Saturday evening. Boroughmuir have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Stirling K. and Glasgow Univ. Loser Glasgow Storm still closes the standings with six games lost. Boroughmuir will meet Glasgow (#4) on the road in the next round. Glasgow Storm will play against Dunfermline Reign (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
9th ranked Dunfermline Reign (1-5) was outscored at home by third ranked Troon T. (4-2) with the biggest margin this round 85-57. Troon T. maintains third position with 4-2 record having just two points less than leader C.Eriksson F. Dunfermline Reign lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with five games lost. Troon T.'s next round opponent will be St.Mirren S. (#7) in St Mirren. Dunfermline Reign will play on the road against Glasgow Storm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 6 Glasgow R. II lost to Stirling K. on the opponent's court 65-72.


Stirling K. - Glasgow R. II 72-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked Glasgow Rocks II's (1-4) road loss to seventh ranked Stirling K. (3-3) 65-72. Stirling K. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Boroughmuir and Glasgow Univ. Glasgow Rocks II lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with four games lost. Stirling K.'s next round opponent will be league's leader Clark Eriksson Fury in Falkirk and it may be the game of the week. Glasgow Rocks II will play at home against the league's second-placed Edunburgh Kings (#2).

Dunfermline R. - Troon T. 57-85

9th ranked Dunfermline Reign (1-5) was outscored at home by third ranked Troon T. (4-2) with the biggest margin this round 85-57.
