National League Round 8: Clark Eriksson Fury defeats Troon T. in the closest game of the week - Nov 11, 2012

The most exciting game of round 8 in the National League took place in Falkirk. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd ranked Troon T. (5-3) to top-ranked Clark Eriksson Fury (8-0) 77-75 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Troon T.. Undefeated Clark Eriksson Fury have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record, which they share with Edinburgh K. Troon T. at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Glasgow Univ.. Clark Eriksson Fury is looking forward to face league's second-placed Edunburgh Kings at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Troon T. will play against Glasgow Storm and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Bottom-ranked Glasgow Storm (0-8) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their eighth consecutive match to seventh ranked St.Mirren S. (3-4) 75-57. St.Mirren S. moved-up to fifth place. Glasgow Storm at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. St.Mirren S. will play against higher ranked Glasgow (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Glasgow Storm will play against Troon T. (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Dunfermline supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Glasgow (5-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Dunfermline Reign (2-6). Glasgow smashed Dunfermline Reign 93-58 on Saturday. Glasgow moved-up to third place, which they share with Troon T. Loser Dunfermline Reign dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Glasgow will meet at home St.Mirren S. (#5) in the next round. Dunfermline Reign will play against Glasgow Rocks II (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game took place in Edunburgh where higher ranked Boroughmuir (3-5) was upset on its own court by ninth ranked Glasgow Rocks II (2-5) 83-73. Glasgow Rocks II moved-up to eighth place. Newly promoted Boroughmuir dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Glasgow Rocks II's next round opponent will be Dunfermline Reign (#9) at home.
Top-ranked Edunburgh Kings (8-0) crushed at home 6th ranked Stirling K. (3-5) by 44 points 101-57, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. Undefeated Edunburgh Kings have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with C.Eriksson F. Loser Stirling K. keeps the sixth place with five games lost. Edunburgh Kings will face league's leader Clark Eriksson Fury in Falkirk in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Stirling K. will play at home against Boroughmuir (#6) in Edunburgh and it may be a tough game between close rivals.



St.Mirren S. - Glasgow Storm 75-57

Bottom-ranked Glasgow Storm (0-8) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their eighth consecutive match to seventh ranked St.Mirren S. (3-4) 75-57. St.Mirren S. moved-up to fifth place.
