The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Polonia Phoenix as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Polonia Phoenix smashed 7th ranked Pentland Star in Edinburgh 92-50. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Pentland Star lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Pentland Star will play next round against St.Mirren RKC trying to get back on the winning streak. Polonia Phoenix will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
The game in Dundee supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Clark Eriksson (4-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Tayside (1-7). Clark Eriksson smashed Tayside 68-41. Clark Eriksson moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Tayside keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Clark Eriksson will play against higher ranked Edinburgh Kool Kats (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Tayside will play against the league's second-placed Glasgow Rocks to get more than just one victory in their record.

Caledonia Pride (WBBL) signed Scot Cathy Mitchell. She played most recently at Edinburgh University SW in Scottish National League. She helped them to win the National League title and the cup. The previous (13-14) season Mitchell played at Polonia Phoenix in Scottish league. She contributed to her team making it to the semifinals.
