National League Round 11: Clark Eriksson Fury beats Glasgow in the most crucial game of the week - Dec 9, 2012

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Falkirk. Leader Clark Eriksson Fury faced 4th placed Glasgow. Host Clark Eriksson Fury (11-0) defeated guests from Glasgow (7-4) 80-67. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Glasgow. Undefeated Clark Eriksson Fury have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-0 record. Glasgow at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Clark Eriksson Fury are looking forward to face Dunfermline Reign (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Glasgow's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Glasgow Glasgow Rocks II.
Glasgow Storm can celebrate finally their first win this season after ten consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Glasgow, where they defeated Glasgow Rocks II (3-7) 60-55. Glasgow Storm maintains tenth place with 1-10 record. Glasgow Rocks II at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Glasgow Storm will play against higher ranked Stirling K. (#8) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Glasgow Rocks II's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Glasgow to the arena Glasgow.
The game in Stirling was also quite interesting. Third ranked Troon T. (8-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Stirling K. (3-8). Troon T. defeated Stirling K. 72-60 on Saturday. The victory was the third consecutive win for Troon T.. They maintain third place with 8-3 record having just three points less than leader C.Eriksson F. Stirling K. lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Troon T. will meet at home league's second-placed Edunburgh Kings in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Stirling K. will play against Glasgow Storm (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 11 St.Mirren S. was defeated by Edinburgh K. in Edunburgh 84-76. Boroughmuir beat Dunfermline R. at home 57-47.


Stirling K. - Troon T. 60-72

The game in Stirling was also quite interesting. Third ranked Troon T. (8-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Stirling K. (3-8). Troon T. defeated Stirling K. 72-60 on Saturday. There was no surprise when 5th ranked St.Mirren S. (4-6) was defeated on the road by second ranked Edunburgh Kings (10-1) 84-76 on Saturday. Defending champion maintains second place with 10-1 record behind leader C.Eriksson F. Loser St.Mirren S. dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Edunburgh Kings will meet Troon T. (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. St.Mirren S. will play against Boroughmuir in Edunburgh and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Boroughmuir - Dunfermline R. 57-47

No shocking result in a game in Edunburgh where sixth ranked Boroughmuir (5-6) defeated 9th ranked Dunfermline Reign (2-9) 57-47 on Saturday. Boroughmuir moved-up to fifth place. Dunfermline Reign lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with nine games lost. Boroughmuir will meet St.Mirren S. (#6) in the next round. Dunfermline Reign will play against the league's leader Clark Eriksson Fury in Falkirk and hope to secure a win.
