The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Pentland Star (1-10) on the court of fourth ranked Glasgow Rocks on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Glasgow Rocks 68-39. Glasgow Rocks (8-2) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains fourth place. Pentland Star lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team still keeps top position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Very significant was Polonia Phoenix's (#2, 8-1) victory against 4th placed Clark Eriksson (3-7) 81-45. Polonia Phoenix maintains second place with 8-1 record having just -5 point less than leader Pentland Star, which they share with Edinburgh KK. Clark Eriksson at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Polonia Phoenix will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Clark Eriksson will play on the road against St.Mirren RKC (#5) in St Mirren and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very significant was Edinburgh Kool Kats' (#1, 8-1) victory against 4th placed St.Mirren RKC (3-5) 79-49. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Edinburgh Kool Kats. Despite that victory Edinburgh Kool Kats went down to second position due to points difference, which they share with Polonia Phoenix. St.Mirren RKC lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Edinburgh Kool Kats will meet at home bottom-ranked Tayside (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. St.Mirren RKC will play against Clark Eriksson in Falkirk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
