Enosi Kalathosfairisis Kavalas (A1) added to their roster 29-year old Scottish ex-international power forward Kieron Achara (208-128kg-83, college: Duquesne, agency: Two Points). He is a dual citizen owning also Nigerian passport. Achara just played at Glasgow Rocks in British BBL league. In 6 games this season he recorded very impressive stats: 17.0ppg, 8.3rpg, 1.7apg and 1.0bpg. The last season he played at Assignia Manresa in Spanish ACB. In 34 games last year he averaged 6.0ppg and 3.5rpg.
The previous (10-11) season Achara played at Sigma Barcellona in Italian Lega2. In 31 games that season he averaged 9.9ppg, 6.5rpg, 2.3spg and 1.2bpg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Lega2 3rd Team and All-Bosmans Team. Achara was voted All-Atlantic 10 Student-Athlete of the Year back in 2008 at his college time.
Achara was also a member of Scottish international program for some years. He played for Scottish Senior National Team between 2002 and 2005 and previously for U20 National Team in 2001. Achara represented the United Kingdom at the Olympic Games in London (United Kingdon) this year. His stats at that event were 4 games: 4.0ppg, 2.3rpg.
Achara has played also professionally in Spain (Unicaja Malaga), Italy (Biancoblu Basket Bologna and Angelico Biella) and Scotland (Clark Eriksson Fury).
He attended University of Duquesne until 2008 and it will be his fifth season as a professional player.
