National League Round 14: Glasgow loses to Edunburgh Kings in the game between Top 4 teams - Jan 29, 2013

The game between Top Four teams took place in Glasgow. 4th ranked host Glasgow (9-5) was smashed by second ranked Edunburgh Kings (13-1) 98-54. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Glasgow. Edunburgh Kings have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 13-1 record having just -1 point less than leader C.Eriksson F. Glasgow at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Edunburgh Kings are looking forward to face Glasgow Rocks II (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Glasgow will play against Boroughmuir in Edunburgh and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 14 Dunfermline R. was destroyed by Troon T. on the opponent's court 88-67. Glasgow R. II managed to outperform Stirling K. in a home game 72-67.


Troon T. - Dunfermline R. 88-67

Very expected game when 9th ranked Dunfermline Reign (2-12) was crushed on the road by third ranked Troon T. (10-4) 88-67 on Saturday. Troon T. maintains third position with 10-4 record having just two points less than leader C.Eriksson F. Dunfermline Reign lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 12 games lost. Troon T. are looking forward to face St.Mirren S. (#5) in St Mirren in the next round. Dunfermline Reign will play at home against Glasgow Storm (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Glasgow Univ. - Edinburgh K. 54-98

The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Glasgow Rocks II's (4-9) home victory over 8th ranked Stirling K. (3-11) 72-67 on Saturday. Glasgow Rocks II maintains seventh position with 4-9 record. Stirling K. lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost. Glasgow Rocks II are looking forward to face league's second-placed Edunburgh Kings on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Stirling K. will play against the league's leader Clark Eriksson Fury (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
