National League Round 18: Edunburgh Kings lose a game and the top position to Clark Eriksson Fury - Mar 3, 2013

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Edunburgh Kings (16-2) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Clark Eriksson Fury (17-1) 73-60. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Edunburgh Kings. It was a key game for the top position in the league as both teams had the same 16-1 record before this meeting. Clark Eriksson Fury have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Defending champion Edunburgh Kings dropped to the second place with two games lost.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Glasgow (12-6) against fourth ranked St.Mirren S. (11-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Glasgow was crushed by St.Mirren S. in St Mirren 100-77. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Glasgow. St.Mirren S. have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 11-7 record, which they share with Troon T. Glasgow at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost.
9th ranked Dunfermline Reign (3-15) was outscored at home by eighth ranked Glasgow Rocks II (5-13) with the biggest margin this round 101-67 on Sunday night. Glasgow Rocks II moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Stirling K. Dunfermline Reign lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 15 games lost.

In the last two games of round 18 bottom-ranked Glasgow Storm lost to Troon T. on the opponent's court 76-90. Boroughmuir outscored Stirling K. in a home game 79-48.

Dunfermline R. - Glasgow R. II 67-101

9th ranked Dunfermline Reign (3-15) was outscored at home by eighth ranked Glasgow Rocks II (5-13) with the biggest margin this round 101-67 on Sunday night. Glasgow Rocks II moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Stirling K. Dunfermline Reign lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 15 games lost.

Troon T. - Glasgow Storm 90-76

Very expected game when 10th ranked Glasgow Storm (2-15) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Troon T. (11-7) 90-76 on Saturday. Troon T. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with St.Mirren S. Glasgow Storm lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost.
