Dragan Kicanovic
Born August 17, 1954 in Cacak, Serbia.
He is a retired Serbian basketball player of the decades of 70ies and 80ies.
He is one of the best european scorers of all time.
Along with Yugoslavia national basketball team he played from 1973 to 1983 to all national competitions,
Eurobasket, FIBA World Championship and Olympics.
He won the Eurobasket in 1973, 1975 and 1977.
In Olympic games Kićanović won the silver medal in 1976 and the gold medal in 1980.
In the FIBA World Championship he won the silver medal in 1974, being selected as Most Valuable Player of the tournament,
the gold medal in 1978 and the bronze in 1982, being the Top scorer in total points of the tournament, scoring 190 points.
He is one of the top scorers of all FIBA World Championships having scored 484 points in total.
In club competition Kicanovic won 2 consecutive Korac Cups with KK Partizan in 1978 and 1979 and a Saporta cup, along with Scavolini Pesaro, in 1983.

Even today he is considered to be one of the best players in the
history of the European basketball. Radivoj Korac, known as "Zucko"
was the best and most efficient player of the Yugoslav team in the
sixties. He won with the Yugoslav team six medals - five silver
medals and one bronze.
He is remembered as an unsurpassable scorer. Playing for OKK
Belgrade, versus Alvik Stockholm, in a match of European Champions'
Cup in 1964 (OKK Belgrade won 155-57), "Zucko" scored incredible 99
points!
Korac was three times in a best European selection, and even seven
times he won the title of the best Yugoslav shooter. He will stay
remembered also by his specific free-throws (see the picture).
In June 1969, a life and basketball carrier of 31 years old Korac
was stopped in a car crash. Shortly after this tragedy, a
competition "Cup of Radivoj Korac" was established as a remembrance
on this player who became a legend too early.
