Crvena zvezda Beograd qualified for final tournament of Nike International Junior Tournament, which will be played in Istanbul from May 10 to May 13. In the final of qualifying tournament in Belgrade, Zvezda's junior team defeated Partizan 74-73 in extremely interesting game. Crvena zvezda Beograd had +7 in first quarter (16-9), but Partizan led 22-23 after 10 minutes. 'Black and whites' opened 9-point lead after 0-8 run at start of second quarter (22-31), but home team answered and closed deficit to only 2 points. However, thanks to great finish of first half - 6 points in last 21 seconds - Partizan had +12 before 15-minute break (37-49). Crvena zvezda dominated in third period and equalized at 51 after 12-0 run. They led by 3 after 30 minutes thanks to 25-10 in third quarter. 'Red and whites' entered final 150 seconds with 7 points advantage, but their rivals didn't surrender and it was 74-73 with 25 seconds left. After turnover of Nikola Cvorovic, who had bad game overall, Partizan had 12 seconds to win, but Mladen Djordjevic missed for 3. Exactly three pointers killed Partizan as their players missed all 15 shots from beyond the arc! Zvezda had 7/31 for 3. Interestingly, despite missing real center, 'black and whites' outrebounded hosts - 51-46 (23-16 offensive rebs). Partizan also had more steals and less turnovers, but Zvezda had 10 blocked shots more and 10 assists more (15-5). In the end, better team deservedly won although harder than expected.

Center Dusan Ristic (210-C/F-95) expectedly led Zvezda with 24 points (12/15 field goals) and 8 rebs, Nikola Rebic had 11 points, while Nikola Jankovic collected 18 rebounds and 8 blocks. Guard Nikola Radicevic had superb game for Partizan with 31 points (12/23 fg, 7/10 ft), 8 rebs and 9 fouls drawn, Nikola Majic added 19 points and 16 rebs.

In another game between Serbian teams, Mega Vizura defeated Hemofarm 77-71 and finished 3rd.
5th place game: INSEP - Brose Baskets 77-54
7th place game: Union Olimpija - Alba Berlin 80-65
