He had the game-high 24 points adding six rebounds for Partizan in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Metalac (#6, 3-9) with 26-point margin 88-62. It allowed Partizan to consolidate first place in the Serbian league. Partizan have a solid 10-2 record. In the team's last game Bertans had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Partizan's top player in his first season with the team. Davis Bertans averages this season 13.8ppg.
Second best performed player last round was Vasilije Micic (191-PG-94, agency: Beo Basket) of league's second-best Mega Vizura. He is a guard in his 3rd season at Mega Vizura. In the last game Micic recorded impressive 18 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Mega Vizura lost that game 78-84 to Crvena Zvezda (9-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Mega Vizura still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 9-3 record is not bad at all. Micic is one of the most experienced players at Mega Vizura and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to guard DeMarcus Nelson (193-G-85) of Crvena Zvezda (#3). Nelson showcased his all-around game by recording 6 points, eight rebounds and twelve assists (!!!) in the last round. He was a key player of Crvena Zvezda, leading his team to a 84-78 win against #2 ranked Mega Vizura. Crvena Zvezda needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 3 lost games. Nelson has a very solid season. In 9 games in Serbia he scored 10.2ppg.
Other top performing players last week: 4. Nikola Jevtovic (208-F/C-89) of Sloboda Uzice - 14 points and 12 rebounds 5. In a very uncertain and an equal match Crvena zvezda got revenge by winning Mega Vizura with score 84:78 (22:18, 20:20, 18:16, 24:24). The whole match was very uncertain and equalized, the biggest advantage on the game had Crvena zvezda was only 8 points [read more]
