U18 HOLLAND - U18 SERBIA 46-59

Serbia won the Bronze at U18 EuroBasket in Bucharest. The celebrated 59-46 victory against Holland in the game for third place. Serbia opened it with impressive 16-2 run and later finished first quarter with 22-9. Holland was not able to reply in the second period and faced with huge 39-17 deficit at the halftime. Serbia had no troubles to keep comfortable lead for rest of the way. Aleksandra Stanacev (167-PG-94) top-scored in Serbia with 15 points, and Natasa Kovacevic (187-F-94) helped with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Sanja Mandic (177-G-95) also had 11 points and 5 assists in this meeting, while Dragana Stankovic (188-PF-95) added 10 points and 8 boards. Holland got 10 points from Emese Hof (188-C-96) and their second scorer was Kourtney Treffers (186-PF-94) with 8 pts (8 rebs). Isabella Slim (181-F-95) and Yordi Kathmann (176-F-94) stopped to 7 points each. France won the Gold in Bucharest and Silver belongs to Russia.

Real Club Celta Baloncesto Vigo (LF2) agreed terms with 19-year old Serbian center Kristina Arsenic (193-97, agency: Regeneracom Sports). She played last season at ZKK Kraljevo in Serbian 1 ZLS. In 21 games she had 11.6ppg and 7.7rpg. The previous (14-15) season Arsenic played at Grosbasket in Slovenian SKL where in 15 games she recorded 3.8ppg and 2.4rpg. Dunkerque Malo Basket Club (LF2) strengthened their roster with addition of 23-year old American (has also Serbian passport) swingman Amra Elezovic (180-93). She just graduated from Barry (NCAA2). In 28 games she recorded very impressive stats: 17.3ppg, 6.0rpg and 2.4apg last season. As mentioned above Elezovic is just out of the college and it will be her first season in pro basketball.
