Here is the weekly review of the top performing Serbian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Nenad Krstic (212-83, currently plays in Euroleague). He was the major contributor in a CSKA Moscow's victory against the third-ranked Besiktas (2-2) crushing them 85-58 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game. Krstic recorded 18 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 20 minutes on the court. CSKA Moscow (4-0) is placed first in group D. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. Krstic is currently third on the list of best blockers with 1.8bpg. He also averaged so far 13.0ppg, 5.5rpg, 2FGP: 66.7%(16-24) and FT: 69.0% in the four games he played so far. Krstic is currently a member of the Serbian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international power forward Nemanja Bjelica (209-88, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB. He could not help Caja Laboral (3-2) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Bjelica's very good performance Caja Laboral was edged in an overtime 83-81 on the road by the leading Real Madrid. He was the top scorer with 25 points. Bjelica also added 4 rebounds. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Bjelica has relatively good stats this year: 13.3ppg, 6.3rpg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 66.7%(16-24), 3FGP: 43.8%. He is in the roster of the Serbian senior national team.

   #3. The Serbian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Milan Macvan (205-89, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group, currently plays in Turkey). He led Galatasaray to a victory over the fifth-ranked Anadolu Efes (2-1) 83-73 in a derby game in the Turkish TBL last Monday. Macvan was MVP of the game. He scored 19 points in 30 minutes. Galatasaray Medical Park Istanbul (4-0) is placed first in the TBL. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. This year Macvan has relatively solid stats: 13.3ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.3apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 65.0%(13-20), 3FGP: 41.7% in the four games. He is also a member of the Serbian senior national team.

   #4. Point guard Milos Teodosic (195-87, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nenad Krstic and both played together in the last Euroleague game. Teodosic contributed to an easy victory against the third-ranked Besiktas (2-2) crushing them 85-58. He recorded 8 points and added 6 passes. This season Teodosic averages: 9.0ppg, 1.5rpg, 3.3apg and 1.5spg. He is also Serbian national team player.

Former University international power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Ukraine) was the main contributor in Halychyna's victory against the tenth-ranked Cherkasy (3-6) 77-70 in the Ukrainian Superleague in Friday night's game. Vukosavljevic was the best player in that game. He had a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 10 rebounds. Vukosavljevic also added 3 assists in 31 minutes. Politekhnika-Halychyna Lviv (8-3) is placed fourth in the Superleague. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Vukosavljevic has reliable stats this year: 14.5ppg and 9.2rpg in the 11 games. He used to play for the Serbian university national team five years ago.

   #6. Point guard Nemanja Nedovic (191-91, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Lithuania was not able to help Lietuvos rytas (1-3) in their last game on Friday. Despite Nedovic's very good performance the fifth-placed Lietuvos rytas was defeated 84-78 in Bamberg by the higher-ranked Brose Baskets (#4) in the group D of Euroleague. He was the second best scorer with 15 points. It's Nedovic's first season with the team. Nedovic's stats this year are: 10.5ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.3apg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Serbian National Team roster.

   #7. University international power forward Sava Lesic (205-88, currently plays in Ukraine) contributed to a 3-point Khimik's victory against the seventh-ranked Hoverla (5-5) 88-85 in the Ukrainian Superleague on Friday night. Lesic had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 12 rebounds in 26 minutes. Khimik-OPZ Yuzny (9-2) is placed first in the Superleague. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Lesic averaged so far 11.5ppg, 7.3rpg and 1.5spg in the 11 games. He used to play for the Serbian university national team last year.

Power forward Tadija Dragicevic (206-86, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Ukraine) contributed to Azovmash's victory against the league outsider BC Kyiv (2-9) 95-88 in the Ukrainian Superleague on Wednesday night. He was the top player that evening. Dragicevic recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 5 assists. Azovmash Mariupol (8-4) is placed fifth in the Superleague. The Regular Season already ended. Dragicevic's overall stats this season are: 8.8ppg, 6.2rpg and 2.1apg. He used to play for the Serbian university national team back in 2009.

International power forward Dusko Savanovic (204-83, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Cedevita (0-4) 85-66 in the Euroleague on Friday night. Savanovic scored 10 points in 19 minutes. Anadolu Efes Istanbul (3-1) is placed second in group C. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Savanovic averaged so far 10.5ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5spg in the four games. He is also in the roster of the Serbian national team.

   #10. Center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88, currently plays in Ukraine) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tadija Dragicevic and both played together in the last Ukrainian Superleague game. Raduljica contributed to Azovmash's victory against the league outsider BC Kyiv (2-9) 95-88. He recorded 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks in a mere 19 minutes. Raduljica averaged so far 13.0ppg and 5.0rpg in the 12 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Serbian National Team roster.

   #11. International center Vladimir Stimac (211-87, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Turkey) contributed to a Banvit BK's victory against the 11th-ranked Erdemir 82-75 in the Turkish TBL on Saturday night. Stimac recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Stimac is currently first on the list of best rebounders. His overall stats this season are: 9.0ppg and 11.5rpg. Stimac plays currently for the Serbian national team.

   #12. International guard Uros Tripkovic (197-86, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB was not able to secure a victory for Blancos de Rueda (3-3) in their last game. Despite Tripkovic's very good performance Blancos de Rueda lost 70-76 in Bilbao to the much higher-ranked (#4) Gescrap BB. He was the top scorer with 24 points. Tripkovic also added 3 assists (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 25 minutes. He averaged so far 10.5ppg and 1.8apg in the six games. Tripkovic used to play for the Serbian national team last year.

   #13. International guard Stefan Markovic (194-88, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB couldn't help Valencia Basket (5-1) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance Valencia Basket was edged 85-82 in Madrid by the lower-ranked Asefa Estudiantes (#6). Markovic scored 12 points. His overall stats this season are: 6.5ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.7apg and 1.3spg. Markovic is also Serbian national team player.

   #14. Former University international guard Miljan Rakic (195-86, agency: BeoExcell, currently plays in Hungary) helped Jaszberenyi edge the tenth-ranked PVSK Pannon 82-80 in the Hungarian A Division last Saturday. Rakic was the top player that evening. He scored 25 points and added 7 passes. Rakic is ranked sixth on the list of the best passers in the league. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Rakic averages: 18.5ppg, 3.3rpg, 5.7apg and 1.5spg. He used to play for the Serbian university national team back in 2007.

   #15. Former U20 international power forward Stevan Jelovac (208-89, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Juvecaserta in their game against Lottomatica Roma in the Italian SerieA, despite his very good performance last Sunday. Jelovac was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 4 rebounds in 31 minutes. But his team was crushed by 29 points 86-57. This year Jelovac's overall stats are: 10.0ppg and 6.6rpg in the five games. He used to play for the Serbian U20 national team three years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Serbian passport but never been selected to any of Serbian national teams:

   #1. Experienced Jovo Stanojevic (208-C-77, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey) led TED Kolejliler to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Gaziantep (1-3) 91-73 in the Turkish TBL on Saturday night. Stanojevic was MVP of the game. He scored 26 points (!!!), had 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 26 minutes. TED Kolejliler Ankara (2-2) is placed seventh in the TBL. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Stanojevic is currently first on the league's list of top scorers with 18.8ppg. This year his other stats are: 4.8rpg and 3.8apg in the four games he played so far.

   #2. Marko Marinovic (183-PG-83, currently plays in Bulgaria) was the main contributor in a Levski Sofia's victory against the closely-ranked Balkan (2-2) 90-71 in the Bulgarian NBL in Saturday night's game. Marinovic was MVP of the game. He scored 28 points (!!!) and added 3 passes. Levski Sofia (2-1) is placed fourth in the NBL. It's Marinovic's first season with the team. Marinovic is currently third on the league's list of top scorers. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Marinovic averages: 20.7ppg, 3.0rpg and 4.3apg.

   #3. Vladimir Jankovic (202-F-90, currently plays in Greece) was the major contributor in Panionios' victory against the closely-ranked Kolossos (3-1) 89-77 in the Greek A1 in Saturday night's game. Jankovic recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 10 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Panionios ON Telecoms Athens (4-0) is placed first in the A1. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Jankovic is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Panionios' roster. He is currently fifth on the league's list of best rebounders. Jankovic's overall stats this season are: 10.0ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.5apg. He has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Greek. Despite Jankovic's Serbian passport, he previously played for the Greek U16 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Serbian team.

   #4. Vladimir Micov (201-F-85, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to an easy victory against the third-ranked Besiktas (2-2) crushing them 85-58 in the Euroleague last Friday. Micov recorded 7 points in 21 minutes. CSKA Moscow (4-0) is placed first in group D. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. This year Micov's overall stats are: 7.3ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.3apg in the four games.

   #5. Milos Miljkovic (204-F/C-84, currently plays in Slovenia) contributed to a 1-point Rogaska's victory against the ninth-ranked Grosuplje (1-2) 76-75 in the Slovenian Telemach League in Saturday night's game. Miljkovic was the top player that evening. He scored 19 points and grabbed 4 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) in 30 minutes. Rogaska Crystal (3-0) is placed first in the Telemach League. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. Miljkovic belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #5 with 8.7rpg. He also averaged so far 13.7ppg and 1.7spg in the three games.

   #6. Aleksandar Bojic (207-C-82, college: Hawaii-Pacific, currently plays in Bulgaria) contributed to a Euroins Cherno More's victory against one of league's weakest teams Beroe 69-62 in the Bulgarian NBL last Saturday. Bojic scored 19 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists. He averaged so far 12.7ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.7apg.

   #7. Vanja Plisnic (207-F/C-80, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey) is a teammate of previously mentioned Jovo Stanojevic. But that was another game of his team in Turkish TBL which we would like to mention. Plisnic, who plays in the Turkish TBL could not help TED Kolejliler (2-2) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance TED Kolejliler was crushed 112-76 on the road by the higher-ranked Banvit BK (#3). Plisnic was the top scorer with 15 points. He also added 5 rebounds. Plisnic's overall stats this season are: 8.8ppg and 3.3rpg.

   #8. Oliver Stevic (204-F/C-84, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Poland), who plays in the Polish TBL was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Stelmet ZG (4-2) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Stelmet ZG lost 72-84 at home to the second-ranked Trefl Sopot. Stevic was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 7 rebounds in 30 minutes. Stevic averaged so far 10.5ppg, 6.7rpg, 1.3apg and 1.7spg in the six games.

   #9. Dusan Sakota (209-SF-86, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Italy) helped Cimberio Varese win their game against the closely-ranked Cantu 77-73 in the Italian SerieA last Monday. He scored 12 points. Sakota's overall stats this season are: 7.6ppg and 3.4rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Serbian and Greek. Despite Sakota's Serbian nationality, he previously played for the Greek U20 national team and probably cannot be called to the Serbian team.

   #10. Miladin Pekovic (197-G/F-83, agency: BeoExcell, currently plays in Balkan League) helped his FYR Macedonian team Kozuv win their game against the closely-ranked Kavala 79-74 in the Balkan League last Tuesday. He was the top player that evening. Pekovic scored 25 points in 36 minutes. Pekovic is currently third on the league's list of top scorers with 17.7ppg. This year he also averages: 3.3rpg and 1.7apg in the three games.

Partizan lands Stefan Pot on training camp deal - 3 hours ago

BC Partizan NiS Beograd (KLS) added 22-year old guard Stefan Pot (196-94) from KK Mladost Z Admiral Zemun to their training camp. In 19 KLS games he was second best scorer with impressive 20.5ppg and recorded 4.2rpg, 5.7apg (top 3) and 1.6spg last season. He can count that year as a very successful as was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Serbian League Honorable Mention. Pot also spent pre-season at Metalac that year where in four Adriatic League games he averaged 7.8ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.8apg....   [read more]

Partizan and U-Banca Transilvania finished their test game in a draw 73:73. Kyndall Dykes (192-SG-87, college: New Orleans) led all scorers with 22 points for the Romanian team. Partizan eked out a 17:15 lead ten minutes into the game. U-Banca stepped on the gas in the second frame. The Romanian team pulled ahead for a 36:30 halftime lead.
