Swingman Mladen Sljivancanin (200-G/F-85, agency: Interperformances) had an amazing evening in the last round for Borac, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (33 points, five rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out OKK Beograd (2-4) 82-80. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on the top of the standings. Borac is placed at 10th position in Serbian A League. Borac is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. In the team's last game Sljivancanin had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Borac's top player in his first season with the team. Mladen Sljivancanin has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 17.2ppg) and assists (9th best: 3.2apg).

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old Dragan Zekovic (210-F/C-87, agency: Beo Basket) of league's leader Vojvodina. Zekovic had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he lead Vojvodina to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Sloga (#13, 1-5) 101-73. Of course Vojvodina still keep the league's top spot. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 6 games without any defeat. Zekovic is well-known at Vojvodina and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.7ppg (#7). He also registered 8.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Vuksan Gagovic (202-F-84) of Jagodina (#12). Gagovic scored 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Despite Gagovic's great performance Jagodina lost 73-83 to the higher-ranked Vrsac (#4, 4-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Jagodina can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Gagovic he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Gagovic has individually a great season in Serbia. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.4ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 6.4rpg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Vladimir Vuksanovic (206-F/C-78) of Vrsac - 21 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Stefan Djordjevic (206-C-89) of Smederevo - 20 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Marko Lukovic (204-SF-92) of Mega Vizura - 20 points and 7 rebounds
7. Aleksandar Mitrovic (202-F-90) of Vrsac - 17 points and 5 rebounds
8. Sasa Avramovic (195-G-93) of Mega Vizura - 18 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Nikola Maravic (212-C-89) of Vrsac - 13 points and 5 rebounds
10. Nikola Siladji (205-F-92) of BKK Radnicki - 12 points and 9 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
