The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with change at the leadership position, derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.
Round 7 in A League means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Uzice where host Sloboda (5-2) edged league's leader Vojvodina (6-1) 90-88 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Vojvodina. Sloboda moved-up to third place, which they share with Vrsac. Vojvodina at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Mega Vizura who have the same record. Vojvodina will play next round against Metalac trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Sloboda will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Mega Vizura on the road. Thirteenth-ranked Sloga (1-6) made lots of trouble for second ranked Mega Vizura (6-1) in Kraljevo. The visitors from Vizura managed to secure only one-point victory 94-93. However their fans expected much easier game. Tamis' coach let to play ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Metalac moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Tamis and Radnicki Basket. Metalac will meet league's second-placed Vojvodina in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tamis will play against OKK Beograd and hope to secure a win. Bottom-ranked Smederevo Vizura managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they won against tenth-ranked Borac69-64. And what about a second win in a row after ...five consecutive loses. It was an exceptional evening for Stefan Djordjevic who led the winners and scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Smederevo Vizura (2-5) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Borac. Smederevo Vizura's next round opponent will be KK Jagodina (#12) at home. Important game to mention about took place in Beograd. Eleventh ranked OKK Beograd (3-4) saved a 1-point victory at home edging higher ranked Radnicki Basket (4-3) 74-73 on Wednesday evening. Vladimir Popovic fired 22 points for the winners. OKK Beograd moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Konstantin. Loser Radnicki Basket keeps the fifth position with three games lost. OKK Beograd will face higher ranked Tamis (#7) in Pancevo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Radnicki Basket will play on the road against Borac in Cacak.
In the last two games of round 7 Vrsac defeated BKK Radnicki in a road game 89-77. Jagodina beat Konstantin at home 61-55.
Important game to mention about took place in Beograd. Eleventh ranked OKK Beograd (3-4) saved a 1-point victory at home edging higher ranked Radnicki Basket (4-3) 74-73 on Wednesday evening. The hosts trailed by 12 points after three quarters before their 25-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. OKK Beograd looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard Vladimir Popovic (190-82) fired 22 points for the winners. Power forward Milos Pavlovic (210-84, agency: BeoExcell) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. It allowed Partizan to consolidate first place in the Serbian league. Partizan have a solid 10-2 record. In the team's last game Bertans had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Partizan's top player in his first season with the team. Davis Bertans averages this season 13.8ppg.
Second best performed player last round was Vasilije Micic (191-PG-94, agency: Beo Basket) of league's second-best Mega Vizura. He is a guard in his 3rd season at Mega Vizura. In the last game Micic recorded impressive 18 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Mega Vizura lost that game 78-84 to Crvena Zvezda (9-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Mega Vizura still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. Serbian Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-F/C-84, agency: Beo Basket) finished successful season in Ukraine with his Halychyna. The latter finished fourth, however showed great basketball during the season.
Tonight Ferro-ZNTU celebrated the Superleague Bronze medals. They knocked down Halychyna in the fourth game of the consolation final series to step onto the pedestal. Randy Culpepper stepped up with 26 points to lead the visitors.

Jeremy Chappell provided 20 points and 6 boards, while Alexander Rybalko connected for 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in the victory. Sasa Vasiljevic answered with 17 points for Halychyna. Vladan Vukosavljevic netted 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in the losing effort.
