The most exciting game of round 9 in the B League took place in Aleksinac. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Mladost Zemun (4-5) to fourth ranked Napredak A. (6-3) 81-79 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 21-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Nikola Stanojevic stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Aleksandar Miladinovic chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was point guard Nikola Socanac (188-93) with 15 points and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Napredak A. moved-up to third place, which they share with Napredak K. and Zeleznicar. Mladost Zemun lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Proleter Naftagas. Napredak A. is looking forward to face Proleter Naftagas (#8) in Zrenjanin in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Mladost Zemun will play on the road against Spartak in Subotica and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Zeleznicar. Partizan II moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Zeleznicar at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Napredak K. and Napredak A.. Partizan II will play against Plana (#13) in Velika Plana in the next round. Zeleznicar will play at home against Beovuk 72 (#10) in Beograd and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Spartak managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of six consecutive loses on Saturday night. This time they won against thirteenth-ranked Plana in Velika Plana 72-66. The best player for the winners was Jovan Samardzija who scored 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Nikola Glisovic who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Spartak (2-7) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with defeated Plana. Plana lost fourth consecutive game. Spartak will meet at home higher ranked Mladost Zemun (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Plana will play against Partizan II (#9) in Beograd and hope to secure a win.
B League top team - Meridiana NS (9-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Beovuk 72 (3-6) in Beograd 89-78. It was a good game for Milan Stanojevic who led his team to a victory with 27 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Beovuk 72's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Undefeated Meridiana NS have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Newly promoted Meridiana NS maintains first place with 9-0 record. Beovuk 72 at the other side keeps the ninth position with six games lost. Meridiana NS's next round opponent will be Mladost Cacak (#11) at home and are hoping to win another game. Beovuk 72 will play against Zeleznicar in Indjija.
Second ranked Morava (7-2) crushed at home 6th ranked Proleter Naftagas (4-5) by 21 points 91-70, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. Perica Mitic stepped up and scored 27 points, 9 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Morava. Newly promoted Morava maintains second place with 7-2 record having just two points less than leader Meridiana NS. Loser Proleter Naftagas dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Morava will face Napredak Rubin (#4) in Krusevac in the next round. Proleter Naftagas will play at home against Napredak A. in Aleksinac and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 9 Napredak K. won against Radnicki OB on the opponent's court 86-77. Mladost Cacak unfortunately lost to Crnokosa in a home game 77-93.



Partizan II - Zeleznicar 85-73

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Zeleznicar (6-3) against twelfth ranked Partizan II (3-6) on Monday night. Visiting Zeleznicar was defeated by Partizan II in Beograd 85-73. Very expected game in Obrenovac where 11th ranked Radnicki OB (3-6) was defeated by fifth ranked Napredak Rubin (6-3) 86-77 on Saturday. Radnicki OB trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 26-23 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 77-86 at the end of the game. Radnicki OB was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Sasa Mihajlovic (203-75) stepped up and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and guard Luka Milojevic (193-91) chipped in 17 points. The best for the losing side was center Marjan Tasic (205-81) with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Aleksa Stamenkovic scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Crnokosa (5-4) defeated on the road 10th ranked Mladost Cacak (3-6) 93-77 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Crnokosa. Mladost Cacak was better in second period 23-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Crnokosa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Mladost Cacak was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Bojan Stanojevic (205-88) stepped up and scored 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winners and forward Marko Kandic (203-79) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was center Milos Jankovic (203-94) with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Strahinja Petkovic (197-92) scored 16 points. Four Crnokosa and five Mladost Cacak players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Crnokosa. They moved-up to sixth place. Loser Mladost Cacak dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. It looked good early as Beovuk 72 took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Meridiana NS had a 26-19 second period charge getting the lead and Beovuk 72 was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 78-89. 26 personal fouls committed by Beovuk 72 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for guard Milan Stanojevic (188-86, college: E.Washington) who led his team to a victory with 27 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Bojan Davidovac contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Meridiana NS players scored in double figures. Igor Djukovic answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and forward Marko Babic (196-93) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Beovuk 72.
