B League is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 13 rounds left. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The game between third ranked Zeleznicar (8-4) and fifth ranked Morava (8-5) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Zeleznicar was crushed by Morava in Vladicin Han 82-58. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Zeleznicar. The game was mostly controlled by Morava. Zeleznicar managed to win third quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Morava forced 21 Zeleznicar turnovers. Guard Perica Mitic (184-85) stepped up and scored 20 points and 6 assists for the winners and guard Milan Milenkovic (191-86) chipped in 19 points. At the losing side forward Slobodan Stanojevic (201-85) responded with 26 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Morava moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Crnokosa. Zeleznicar at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Morava is looking forward to face Plana (#12) in Velika Plana in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zeleznicar will play on the road against Napredak A. (#8) in Aleksinac and is hoping to win this game.
B League top team - Meridiana NS (12-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Napredak A. (6-7) in Aleksinac 72-66. Ivan Djurovic nailed 15 points for the winning side and Nebojsa Jovsic accounted for 12 points and 5 rebounds. Meridiana NS's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Aleksandar Miladinovic came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds for Napredak A. in the defeat. Newly promoted Meridiana NS maintains first place with 12-1 record. Napredak A. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Proleter Naftagas and Partizan II. Meridiana NS will play against Mladost Zemun (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Napredak A. will play against Zeleznicar in Indjija and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Zrenjanin was also quite interesting. Second ranked Napredak Rubin (10-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Proleter Naftagas (6-7). Napredak Rubin managed to secure a 9-point victory 68-59 on Saturday. Sasa Mihajlovic fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Zoran Majkic produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Napredak Rubin have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 10-3 record having just two points less than leader Meridiana NS. Loser Proleter Naftagas dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Partizan II and Napredak A.. Napredak Rubin will meet bottom-ranked Spartak (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Proleter Naftagas will play against Crnokosa (#4) in Kosjeric and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the A League just one year after relegation.
The game in Zemun was also worth to mention about. 4th placed Crnokosa (8-5) played at the court of sixth ranked Mladost Zemun (7-6). Mladost Zemun managed to secure a 4-point victory 99-95. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Crnokosa. Worth to mention a great performance of Nikola Pavlovic who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Mladost Zemun maintains sixth place with 7-6 record. Crnokosa at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Mladost Zemun's next round opponent will be league's leader Meridiana NS in Novi Sad and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Crnokosa will play on the road against Proleter Naftagas in Zrenjanin.
Important game to mention about took place in Cacak. Ninth ranked Partizan II (6-7) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 13th ranked Mladost Cacak (3-9) 82-81 on Saturday evening. Mladen Djordjevic stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Partizan II. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Proleter Naftagas and Napredak A. Mladost Cacak lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Partizan II will face Radnicki OB (#10) in Obrenovac in the next round. Mladost Cacak will play at home against Beovuk 72 in Beograd and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 13 Plana was destroyed by Radnicki OB on the opponent's court 86-54. Beovuk 72 managed to outperform Spartak in a home game 83-78.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 19 points and 20 rebounds by Milos Jankovic of Mladost Cacak.



Radnicki OB - Plana 86-54

Everything could happen in Obrenovac at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Radnicki OB and 11th ranked Plana had identical 4-8 record. This time Radnicki OB used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Velika Plana 86-54 on Sunday night. The game without a history. Radnicki OB led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Radnicki OB forced 19 Plana turnovers and outrebounded them 37-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Plana's players. American center Goran Huskic (210-92, college: Howard) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and forward Dragan Boricic (201-77) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Radnicki OB players scored in double figures. Radnicki OB's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Miroslav Radic (195-84) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Stefan Arnaut (197-88) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Radnicki OB (5-8) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Beovuk 72. Newly promoted Plana dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. Radnicki OB will face higher ranked Partizan II (#7) in Beograd in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Plana will play on the road against Morava (#5) in Vladicin Han.

Mladost Zemun - Crnokosa 99-95

The game in Zemun was also worth to mention about. 4th placed Crnokosa (8-5) played at the court of sixth ranked Mladost Zemun (7-6). Mladost Zemun managed to secure a 4-point victory 99-95. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Crnokosa. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Mladost Zemun made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Nikola Pavlovic who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. point guard Nikola Socanac (188-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 assists for the winners. Center Bojan Stanojevic (205-88) answered with 37 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and guard Sanel Mukanovic (192-83) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists in the effort for Crnokosa. Four Crnokosa players scored in double figures. Mladost Zemun maintains sixth place with 7-6 record. Crnokosa at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Mladost Zemun's next round opponent will be league's leader Meridiana NS in Novi Sad and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rather predictable result in Beograd where tenth ranked Beovuk 72 (5-8) defeated bottom-ranked Spartak (2-11) 83-78 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 12 points after three quarters before their 31-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Beovuk 72 made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Spartak turnovers. Spartak was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Milos Riboskic (195-89) stepped up and scored 24 points (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners and Igor Djukovic chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Beovuk 72's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Partizan NIS team is a new champion of Serbia in junior category! Croatian Power forward Tomislav Gabric (204-PF-95) had an amazing evening in the last round for Metalac, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6 (Second Stage). The Second Stage in KLS just ended. The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Beograd: Crvena Zvezda (#1) and FMP (#2). Crvena Zvezda (6-0) won against visiting FMP (4-2) 72-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of FMP.
