We bring you last week's top performances from Serbians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Nenad Krstic (212-83, currently plays in Euroleague). He was the major contributor in a CSKA Moscow's victory against the eighth-ranked Anadolu Efes (0-1) 90-71 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game. Krstic recorded 22 points in 25 minutes on the court. CSKA Moscow (1-0) is placed second in group E. Krstic has relatively good stats this year: 14.6ppg, 4.3rpg, 2FGP: 66.2%(49-74) and FT: 73.8% in the 10 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Serbian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former University international power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-86, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Poland), who plays in the Polish TBL. Borovnjak could not help Stelmet ZG (9-5) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Stelmet ZG was defeated 99-95 on the road by the lower-ranked Siarka Jezioro (#8). Borovnjak recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 10 rebounds. It was his first game for Stelmet ZG this season. It's Borovnjak's first year with the team. He played for the Serbian university national team in 2009.

   #3. The Serbian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Milos Teodosic (195-87, currently plays in Russia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nenad Krstic. But that was another game of his team in Russian PBL which we would like to mention. Teodosic led CSKA Moscow to a 3-point victory against the closely-ranked Krasnie Krilya (4-3) 75-72. He recorded 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. CSKA Moscow (8-1) is placed first in the PBL. Teodosic is currently eighth on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (third place). He has very reliable stats this season: 13.8ppg, 2.8rpg, 4.7apg, 2FGP: 65.2%(15-23), 3FGP: 36.7% and FT: 90.9%(20-22). Teodosic is also a member of the Serbian senior national team.

   #4. Power forward Milan Macvan (205-89, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group, currently plays in Turkey) led Galatasaray to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Gaziantep (4-9) 84-66 in the Turkish TBL last Saturday. He scored 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 26 minutes. Galatasaray Medical Park Istanbul (10-2) is placed second in the TBL. It's Macvan's first season with the team. This year Macvan has relatively solid stats: 10.1ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.5apg in the 12 games. He is also Serbian national team player.

   #5. Former University international power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Ukraine) led Halychyna to a victory over the tenth-ranked Kryvbasbasket (10-14) 70-59 in the Ukrainian Superleague last Friday. He was MVP of the game. Vukosavljevic recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 18 rebounds. Politekhnika-Halychyna Lviv (13-10) is placed fifth in the Superleague. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Vukosavljevic has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 15.1ppg and 8.9rpg. Vukosavljevic used to play for the Serbian university national team five years ago.

   #6. Center Vladimir Stimac (211-87, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Turkey) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Hacettepe (2-10) crushing them 91-70 in the Turkish TBL on Saturday night. He scored 6 points, had 11 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 19 minutes. Banvit Basketbol Kulubu (10-2) is placed fourth in the TBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Stimac is currently fourth on the list of best rebounders with 8.8rpg. This year his other stats are: 8.9ppg in the 12 games. Stimac is an international player who is currently on the senior Serbian National Team roster.

Former University international guard Djordje Micic (195-83, currently plays in Poland) contributed to a PGE Turow's victory against the sixth-ranked Energa Czarni (8-6) 104-94 in the Polish TBL in Sunday night's game. He recorded 18 points and added 5 assists (made all of his six free throws). PGE Turow Zgorzelec (10-3) is placed first in the TBL. Micic has reliable stats this season: 10.8ppg, 1.7rpg and 3.4apg. He used to play for the Serbian university national team five years ago.

   #8. Center Milovan Rakovic (208-85, currently plays in Spain) helped Gescrap BB win their game against the eighth-ranked Blusens Monbus (8-7) 81-70 in the Spanish ACB last Saturday. Rakovic scored 12 points. Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao Basket (10-4) is placed fourth in the ACB. Rakovic's overall stats this season are: 7.2ppg and 2.2rpg. He plays currently for the Serbian national team.

International center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88, currently plays in Ukraine) helped Azovmash win their game against the closely-ranked Khimik (12-9) crushing them 88-66 in the Ukrainian Superleague on Sunday night. Raduljica recorded 16 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks. Azovmash Mariupol (16-5) is placed third in the Superleague. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Raduljica averaged so far 12.6ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.1bpg. He is also in the roster of the Serbian national team.

Guard Miljan Rakic (195-86, agency: BeoExcell, currently plays in Hungary) was the main contributor in an overtime Jaszberenyi's victory against the closely-ranked Marso NYKK (5-9) 103-93 in the Hungarian A Division in Saturday night's game. Rakic was the best player in that game. He scored 39 points (!!!), grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 43 minutes. TOP COP Security Jaszbereny (6-8) is placed eighth in the A Division. Rakic is currently eighth on the list of top scorers with 20.1ppg. He also averaged so far 4.1rpg, 5.1apg and 1.5spg in the 14 games. Rakic is a former university international player as five years ago he still played for the Serbian national team.

   #11. International power forward Dusko Savanovic (204-83, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey) helped Anadolu Efes win their game against the closely-ranked Karsiyaka 71-65 in the Turkish TBL last Sunday. He scored 6 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Savanovic's overall stats this season are: 8.7ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.4apg. He plays currently for the Serbian national team.

   #12. Former University international forward Cedomir Vitkovac (201-82, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Adriatic League) helped his Montenegrin team Buducnost win their game against the league leader Igokea 76-71 in the Adriatic League on Monday night. Vitkovac was the top player that evening. He scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 22 minutes. Vitkovac's stats this year are: 11.4ppg, 5.2rpg and 2.1apg in the 15 games. He used to play for the Serbian university national team back in 2007.

   #13. International power forward Nemanja Bjelica (209-88, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Spain) helped Caja Laboral win their game against the 14th-ranked CB Canarias 81-62 in the Spanish ACB in Sunday night's game. He scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in only 14 minutes. This year Bjelica's overall stats are: 10.0ppg and 4.6rpg in the 10 games. He is also Serbian national team player.

   #14. Former University international point guard Vukasin Aleksic (184-85, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Poland) is a teammate of previously mentioned Djordje Micic and both played together in the last Polish TBL game. Aleksic helped PGE Turow win their game against the sixth-ranked Energa Czarni 104-94. He recorded 15 points. Aleksic's total stats this season are: 7.2ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.7apg. He used to play for the Serbian university national team back in 2009.

   #15. Former U20 international forward Uros Petrovic (205-90, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Bulgaria) helped Balkan win their game against the closely-ranked Rilski Sportist 70-60 in the Bulgarian NBL on Saturday night. Petrovic was the top player that evening. He recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 11 rebounds. Petrovic averaged so far 14.8ppg and 4.9rpg. He used to play for the Serbian U20 national team two years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Serbian passport but never been selected to any of Serbian national teams:

   #1. Experienced Jovo Stanojevic (208-C-77, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey) led TED Kolejliler to a victory over the 13th-ranked Turk Telekom (3-9) crushing them 89-55 in a derby game in the Turkish TBL on Saturday night. Stanojevic was MVP of the game. He scored 26 points (!!!), had 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 28 minutes. TED Kolejliler Ankara (8-5) is placed sixth in the TBL. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. It's Stanojevic's first season with the team. Stanojevic belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #2 with 19.8ppg. This year his other stats are: 6.8rpg and 3.0apg in the 13 games he played so far.

   #2. Marko Marinovic (183-PG-83, currently plays in Bulgaria) was the main contributor in a Levski Sofia's victory against the seventh-ranked Beroe (3-6) 96-89 in the Bulgarian NBL on Sunday night. Marinovic was MVP of the game. He recorded 27 points (!!!), 5 assists and 3 steals. Levski Sofia (8-2) is placed second in the NBL. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Marinovic is ranked sixth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best passers (fourth place). He has individually a very good season with high stats. Marinovic averages: 17.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 5.7apg and 1.5spg.

   #3. Vladimir Micov (201-F-85, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Russia) contributed to a 3-point CSKA Moscow's victory against the closely-ranked Krasnie Krilya (4-3) 75-72 in the Russian PBL in Sunday night's game. He recorded 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 31 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. CSKA Moscow (8-1) is placed first in the PBL. This year Micov's overall stats are: 4.6ppg and 4.4rpg in the five games.

   #4. Vanja Plisnic (207-F/C-80, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey) is a teammate of previously mentioned Jovo Stanojevic and both played together in the last Turkish TBL game. Plisnic was the major contributor in a TED Kolejliler's victory against the 13th-ranked Turk Telekom (3-9) crushing them 89-55 in a derby game. He scored 16 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in a mere 16 minutes. This year Plisnic's overall stats are: 9.6ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.5apg in the 12 games.

   #5. Milko Bjelica (205-F/C-84, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked CB Canarias (5-10) 81-62 in the Spanish ACB on Sunday night. He scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Caja Laboral Vitoria (11-3) is placed second in the ACB. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Bjelica's overall stats this season are: 5.2ppg and 2.3rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Montenegrin.

   #6. Marko Spica (205-C/F-86, college: Cent.Michigan, currently plays in Hungary) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams FS Debrecen 87-71 in the Hungarian A Division in Saturday night's game. Spica was the best player in that game. He had a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 14 rebounds. Spica also added 3 assists in 29 minutes. Spica belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #3 with 21.6ppg. He also averaged so far 7.4rpg, 2.1apg and 1.5spg in the 14 games.

   #7. Nikola Gacesa (205-F-87, college: TCU, currently plays in Slovenia) contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked LTHcast Mercator 80-65 in the Slovenian Telemach League on Saturday night. Gacesa was the best player in that game. He recorded 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists (made all of his five free throws) in 23 minutes. Gacesa is currently second on the list of top scorers with 16.9ppg. This year his other stats are: 6.1rpg and 1.3apg in the seven games.

   #8. Ivan Ivanovic (205-F-80, currently plays in Romania) contributed to an easy victory against the 13th-ranked Timba Timosoara crushing them 72-51 in the Romanian Division A in Friday night's game. Ivanovic was the best player in that game. He scored 24 points, had 7 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Ivanovic averaged so far 13.5ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.8apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Montenegrin and Serbian.

   #9. Ivan Zigeranovic (212-C-84, agency: BeoExcell, currently plays in Poland) contributed to a PGE Turow's victory against the sixth-ranked Energa Czarni 104-94 in the Polish TBL last Sunday. Zigeranovic recorded 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds (made all of his five free throws) in 26 minutes. This year his overall stats are: 9.3ppg and 4.8rpg in the 13 games.

   #10. Sinisa Tepavcevic (201-F-84, currently plays in Montenegro) helped Teodo Tivat win their game against the eighth-ranked Ibar Rozaje 73-67 in the Montenegrin 1A in Saturday night's game. Tepavcevic was the top player that evening. He recorded 23 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Tepavcevic averaged so far 10.8ppg, 4.1rpg and 2.1apg.
