We bring you last week's top performances from Serbians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Milos Teodosic (195-87, currently plays in Euroleague). He was the major contributor in a CSKA Moscow's victory against the seventh-ranked Brose Baskets Bamberg (0-3) 90-83 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game. Teodosic scored 17 points and added 9 assists in 34 minutes on the court. CSKA Moscow (3-0) is placed second in group E. So far his team won all three games in the Top 16. Teodosic is ranked seventh on the list of the best passers in the league with 4.8apg. He also averaged so far 11.4ppg, 2.2rpg, 1.5spg, 3FGP: 34.4% and FT: 87.5% in the 13 games he played so far. Teodosic is currently a member of the Serbian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former University international forward Cedomir Vitkovac (201-82, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Eurocup). He led his Montenegrin team Buducnost to a victory over the fourth-ranked Triumph Lyubertsy (0-1) crushing them 90-69 in the Eurocup last Wednesday. Vitkovac was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 12 rebounds. Vitkovac also added 3 assists and 3 steals. KK Buducnost Voli Podgorica (1-0) is placed second in group I. Vitkovac belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #7. He has very reliable stats this season: 12.6ppg, 7.0rpg, 2.3apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 52.3%, 3FGP: 19.0% and FT: 81.1%. Vitkovac played for the Serbian university national team in 2007.

   #3. The Serbian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Nenad Krstic (212-83, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Milos Teodosic. But that was another game of his team in Euroleague which we would like to mention. Krstic contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked ALBA Berlin (0-3) 75-57. He scored 15 points in a mere 18 minutes. CSKA Moscow (3-0) is placed second in group E. So far his team won all three games in the Top 16. Krstic is currently ninth on the list of top scorers with 14.6ppg. This year his other stats are: 3.9rpg, 2FGP: 66.7%(58-87) and FT: 75.7% in the 12 games. Krstic is also a member of the Serbian senior national team.

   #4. Power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-86, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Poland) was the main contributor in a Stelmet ZG's victory against the closely-ranked Asseco Prokom Gdynia (10-6) 83-74 in the Polish TBL last Saturday. He was the best player in that game. Borovnjak scored 26 points (!!!) and grabbed 4 rebounds in 32 minutes. Stelmet Zielona Gora (10-5) is placed third in the TBL. Borovnjak has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 25.0ppg and 7.0rpg in the two games. Borovnjak used to play for the Serbian university national team back in 2009.

International power forward Dusko Savanovic (204-83, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to an Anadolu Efes' victory against the eighth-ranked ALBA Berlin (0-3) 71-62 in the Euroleague on Friday night. He scored 15 points. Anadolu Efes Istanbul (2-1) is placed third in group E. Savanovic's overall stats this season are: 8.2ppg, 3.4rpg, 1.3apg and 1.2spg. He plays currently for the Serbian national team.

   #6. Guard Stefan Markovic (194-88, currently plays in Eurocup) contributed to a Valencia Basket's victory against the fourth-ranked VEF Riga (0-1) 86-82 in the Eurocup in Tuesday night's game. Markovic had a double-double by scoring 10 points and making 11 passes in 28 minutes. Valencia Basket (1-0) is placed second in group J. This year Markovic's overall stats are: 7.5ppg, 3.8rpg and 5.3apg in the four games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Serbian National Team roster.

   #7. Former University international guard Djordje Micic (195-83, currently plays in VTB United League), who plays in Poland could not help PGE Turow (2-8) in their last game on Monday. Despite Micic's very good performance the tenth-placed PGE Turow was defeated 72-68 on the road by the higher-ranked Kalev/Cramo (#9) in the group A of VTB United League. He was the top scorer with 24 points. It's Micic's first season with the team. Micic has relatively good stats this year: 12.1ppg, 1.7rpg and 2.1apg. He used to play for the Serbian university national team six years ago.

Center Vladimir Stimac (211-87, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Turkey) helped Banvit BK win their game against the league outsider Antalya (3-12) 100-95 in the Turkish TBL on Saturday night. Stimac scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Banvit Basketbol Kulubu (12-2) is placed third in the TBL. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Stimac is currently fourth on the league's list of best rebounders. His total stats this season are: 9.3ppg and 8.3rpg. Stimac plays currently for the Serbian national team.

Former University international power forward Tadija Dragicevic (206-86, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Ukraine), who plays in the Ukrainian Superleague was not able to help Azovmash (17-8) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Azovmash lost in a double overtime (!!!) 98-107 in Frankivsk to the lower-ranked (#5) Hoverla. Dragicevic scored 21 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 40 minutes. It was Azovmash's third consecutive loss in a row. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This year Dragicevic's total stats are: 10.0ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.7apg in the 24 games. He used to play for the Serbian university national team four years ago.

   #10. Power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Ukraine) helped Halychyna win their game against the closely-ranked BC Donetsk (13-11) 80-67 in the Ukrainian Superleague on Friday night. He was the top player that evening. Vukosavljevic had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 16 rebounds in 27 minutes. Politekhnika-Halychyna Lviv (15-10) is placed fourth in the Superleague. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Vukosavljevic has very impressive stats this year: 15.7ppg and 9.3rpg in the 25 games. He is a former university international player as six years ago he still played for the Serbian national team.

   #11. International power forward Nemanja Bjelica (209-88, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Spain) helped Caja Laboral win their game against the ninth-ranked Asefa Estudiantes 72-68 in the Spanish ACB last Sunday. He recorded 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 23 minutes. Bjelica has averaged so far 9.9ppg and 4.5rpg in the 12 games. He plays currently for the Serbian national team.

   #12. Former University international forward Strahinja Milosevic (203-85, currently plays in Adriatic League) is a teammate of previously mentioned Cedomir Vitkovac. However that was another game of his team in Adriatic League which brought him to that list. Milosevic helped his Montenegrin team Buducnost win their game against the league outsider Szolnok crushing them 88-63. He scored 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Milosevic has averaged so far 5.2ppg and 4.0rpg. He used to play for the Serbian university national team back in 2009.

   #13. International center Milovan Rakovic (208-85, currently plays in Eurocup), who plays in Spain was not able to secure a victory for Gescrap BB (0-1) in their last game. Despite Rakovic's good performance Gescrap BB (#3) was edged 85-83 at home by the leading CEZ Nymburk in the group J of Eurocup. He recorded 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 18 minutes. Rakovic has averaged so far 8.4ppg and 4.7rpg in the seven games. He is also Serbian national team player.

   #14. Former U20 international power forward Stevan Jelovac (208-89, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Italy) helped Juvecaserta win their game against the second-ranked Banco di Sardegna Sassari 88-81 in the Italian SerieA in Sunday night's game. He was the top player that evening. Jelovac scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. This season he has relatively solid stats: 11.7ppg and 6.9rpg. Jelovac used to play for the Serbian U20 national team back in 2009.

   #15. International center Kosta Perovic (217-85, currently plays in Euroleague) couldn't help Unicaja Malaga in their game against Panathinaikos in the Euroleague. He scored only 4 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in 15 minutes. His team lost 73-78. Perovic has averaged so far 3.8ppg and 2.6rpg in the 13 games. He is also in the roster of the Serbian national team.


The list of other players, who all have Serbian passport but never been selected to any of Serbian national teams:

   #1. Vladimir Micov (201-F-85, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in VTB United League) was the major contributor in a CSKA Moscow's victory against the ninth-ranked Neptunas (1-9) crushing them 79-57 in the VTB United League in Sunday night's game. He recorded 15 points. CSKA Moscow (9-1) is placed second in group B. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. It's Micov's first season with the team. Micov's overall stats this year are: 7.8ppg and 2.6rpg.

   #2. Milko Bjelica (205-F/C-84, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague) led his Spanish team Caja Laboral to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Besiktas (0-3) crushing them 77-51 in the Euroleague on Thursday night. Bjelica scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 21 minutes. Caja Laboral Vitoria (3-0) is placed first in group F. So far his team won all three games in the Top 16. This year Bjelica's total stats are: 4.7ppg and 2.8rpg in the 12 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Montenegrin.

   #3. Marko Marinovic (183-PG-83, currently plays in Bulgaria) led Levski Sofia to a victory over the league leader Lukoil Academik (10-2) 85-78 in a derby game in the Bulgarian NBL in Saturday night's game. Marinovic was the top player that evening. He scored 20 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 6 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Levski Sofia (10-2) is placed second in the NBL. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. Marinovic is currently seventh on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (fourth place). He has individually a very good season with high stats. Marinovic averages: 17.5ppg, 3.8rpg, 5.6apg and 1.5spg.

   #4. Nikola Gacesa (205-F-87, college: TCU, currently plays in Slovenia), who plays in the Slovenian Telemach League could not help Helios (8-3) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Helios lost 62-71 on the road to the lower-ranked (#6) Tajfun. Gacesa was the top scorer with 24 points. He also added 4 rebounds in 30 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Gacesa's second season in pro basketball. It was Helios' first loss after seven consecutive victories. Gacesa is currently first on the league's list of top scorers with 17.8ppg. This year he also averages: 5.9rpg and 1.3apg in the eight games.

   #5. Experienced Jovo Stanojevic (208-C-77, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL was not able to help TED Kolejliler (8-7) in their last game on Monday. Despite Stanojevic's very good performance TED Kolejliler was defeated 69-64 at home by the much lower-ranked Besiktas (#14). He was the top scorer with 17 points. Stanojevic also added 6 rebounds. Stanojevic is ranked second on the list of the top scorers in the league. This season he has very high stats. Stanojevic averages: 18.9ppg, 6.5rpg and 3.0apg.

   #6. Branko Mirkovic (190-G-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza, currently plays in Bulgaria) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Spartak Pleven crushing them 94-74 in the Bulgarian NBL in Saturday night's game. Mirkovic scored 18 points, had 7 boards, dished 6 assists and stole 3 balls. Mirkovic is ranked ninth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best passers (third place). This season he has very high stats. Mirkovic averages: 16.0ppg, 4.3rpg, 5.8apg and 2.3spg.

   #7. Oliver Stevic (204-F/C-84, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Eurocup) contributed to a Stelmet ZG's victory against the closely-ranked Cajasol 76-67 in the Eurocup last Wednesday. Stevic recorded 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Stevic is currently third on the list of best rebounders. This season he has very good stats: 14.4ppg, 8.1rpg, 1.4apg and 1.3spg.

   #8. Vladimir Jankovic (202-F-90, currently plays in Greece) helped Panionios win their game against the closely-ranked PAOK 82-68 in the Greek A1 on Saturday night. Jankovic scored 8 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 21 minutes. Jankovic is ranked fourth on the list of the best rebounders in the league with 6.9rpg. This year his other stats are: 11.6ppg and 2.1apg in the 11 games. Jankovic is another player who holds two passports: Serbian and Greek. Despite his Serbian nationality, Jankovic previously played for the Greek U16 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Serbian team.

   #9. Milivoje Mijovic (200-F-91, currently plays in Slovenia) helped Rogaska win their game against the ninth-ranked Grosuplje 77-68 in the Slovenian Telemach League on Saturday night. Mijovic recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Mijovic belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #6. This season he has very good stats: 10.1ppg, 6.8rpg and 1.7apg.

   #10. Vladimir Tica (208-C/F-81, agency: BeoExcell, currently plays in Romania) was the main contributor in Ploiesti's victory against one of league's weakest teams CS Farul Constanca crushing them 97-67 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Wednesday night's game. Tica was the top player that evening. He had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 10 rebounds in 32 minutes. Tica has reliable stats this year: 12.4ppg and 4.8rpg in the 16 games.

BC Partizan NiS Beograd (KLS) strengthened their roster with addition of 31-year old Serbian guard Branislav Ratkovica (192-86kg-85, agency: BeoBasket). He played most recently at Lukoil Academic Sofia in Bulgarian NBL league. In 32 games he recorded 7.9ppg, 1.7rpg, 5.1apg and 1.4spg last season. Trefl Sopot (TBL) landed 27-year old Serbian power forward Nikola Markovic (208-89). He played most recently at PAOK Thessaloniki in Greek A1 league. In 28 games he averaged 7.2ppg and 5.0rpg last season. Markovic helped them to make it to the Greek Cup Semifinals. He also played 16 games in Eurocup where he had 8.9ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.8apg and 1.5spg.
