Ivana Grubor
28-year old power forward Ivana Grubor (185-F/C-84) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Jagodina 2001 and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 16.
She had the game-high 28 points adding six rebounds and four assists for Jagodina 2001 in her team's victory, helping them to crush Sabac (#4, 8-7) with 18-point margin 90-72. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Jagodina 2001 maintains the 2nd position in Serbian A League. They are still close to the very top. Jagodina 2001 would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 13-2 record. It's Grubor's second year at Jagodina 2001 and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Grubor has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 19.1ppg. Grubor is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 7.4rpg), assists (4th best: 3.9apg) and averages solid 53.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Tamara Ruzic (180-G-79) of Beocin. She is a guard in her first season at Beocin. In the last game Ruzic recorded impressive double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. Of course Beocin cruised to a 59-51 relatively comfortable win over Celarevo (#11, 0-14). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Beocin keeps 10th position. 10 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Beocin managed to get this year. Ruzic is a newcomer at Beocin and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jelena Prvulovic (175-G-91) of Radnicki KG (#3). Prvulovic scored 27 points. Despite Prvulovic's great performance Radnicki KG lost 58-65 to slightly lower-ranked Vrbas Medela (#5, 7-8). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Radnicki KG needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 9 victories and 5 lost games. Prvulovic has a great season in Serbia. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.7ppg (9th best) and assists with 3.6apg (7th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Milana Zivadinovic (179-G-91) of Sumadija KG - 26 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Natasa Mijatovic (191-F/C-89) of Vrbas Medela - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Marija Kovacic (197-C-78) of Jagodina 2001 - 23 points and 7 rebounds
7. Milena Lakovic) of Celarevo - 13 points and 13 rebounds
8. Milena Radosevic (173-G/F-87) of Srbobran - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
9. Natasa Djordjevic (178-G-85) of Jagodina 2001 - 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Marija Radosevic) of Celarevo - 26 points and 2 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Power forward Bojana Stevanovic (180-F/C-96) put on an amazing game in the last round for Sabac, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2. The 21-year old player was the main contributor (15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Vrsac (#12, 0-2) with 55-point margin 99-44. There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in 1 ZLS. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Spartak (1-1) in Subotica on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by Vrbas Medela (1-1) 79-65. The game was mostly controlled by Vrbas Medela. Spartak managed to win fourth quarter 22-20.
