The most important game in the last round took place in Aleksinac between third ranked Zeleznicar (8-5) and eighth ranked Napredak A. (7-7) on Saturday night. Zeleznicar was defeated by Napredak A. on the road 83-73. The game was mostly controlled by Napredak A.. Zeleznicar managed to win fourth quarter 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Napredak A. forced 19 Zeleznicar turnovers and outrebounded them 38-14 including a 26-8 advantage in defensive rebounds. 31 personal fouls committed by Zeleznicar helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Milan Vulic (195-91) who scored 23 points. Dragoljub Sikman chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds. Center Slobodan Gugleta (-83) produced 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Napredak A. moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Mladost Zemun and Partizan II. Zeleznicar at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Napredak A. is looking forward to face Plana (#12) in Velika Plana in the next round where they are favorite. Zeleznicar will play at home against Mladost Zemun (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Napredak Rubin (10-4) against fourteenth ranked Spartak (3-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Napredak Rubin was defeated by Spartak in a tough game in Subotica 82-88. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Napredak Rubin. Jovan Samardzija orchestrated the victory by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 4 steals. Nemanja Raonic contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Sasa Mihajlovic (203-75) replied with 27 points and 4 steals (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!) for Napredak Rubin. Napredak Rubin's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Spartak maintains fourteenth position with 3-11 record. Napredak Rubin at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost. Spartak will play against higher ranked Mladost Cacak (#13) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Napredak Rubin will play against Crnokosa (#3) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
Leader Meridiana NS delivered the thirteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Mladost Zemun (7-7) 83-76. Marko Savic scored 28 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Nikola Socanac responded with 15 points and 8 assists. Mladost Zemun's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Meridiana NS have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Meridiana NS maintains first position with 13-1 record. Loser Mladost Zemun keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Partizan II and Napredak A.. Meridiana NS will meet at home Proleter Naftagas (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mladost Zemun will play against Zeleznicar in Indjija and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very interesting game took place in Vladicin Han. It ended with only one-point home defeat of higher ranked Morava (8-6) to twelfth ranked Plana (5-9) 74-73 on Saturday evening. Nikola Glisovic notched 24 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort. Morava's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Plana moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Beovuk 72 and Radnicki OB. Morava at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Plana's next round opponent will be higher ranked Napredak A. (#6) in Aleksinac and it may be quite challenging game. Morava will play on the road against Partizan II in Beograd.

The best player for the winners was Milos Jankovic who scored 32 points and 9 rebounds. Beovuk 72's coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Mladost Cacak maintains thirteenth position with 4-9 record. Loser Beovuk 72 dropped to the tenth place with nine games lost. Mladost Cacak will face bottom-ranked Spartak (#14) in Subotica in the next round.

In the last two games of round 14 Crnokosa defeated Proleter Naftagas in Kosjeric 79-75. Radnicki OB were beaten by Partizan II at home 78-84.



Mladost Zemun - Meridiana NS 76-83

Leader Meridiana NS delivered the thirteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Mladost Zemun (7-7) 83-76. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Mladost Zemun won fourth quarter 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Marko Savic (197-87) scored 28 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Milan Stanojevic (188-86, college: E.Washington) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists during the contest. point guard Nikola Socanac (188-93) responded with 15 points and 8 assists and Davor Narandzic scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Mladost Zemun players scored in double figures. Mladost Zemun's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Meridiana NS have a solid three-game winning streak. There was no surprise in Zrenjanin where 9th ranked Proleter Naftagas (6-8) were defeated by fourth ranked Crnokosa (9-5) 79-75 on Saturday. Proleter Naftagas were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was center Bojan Stanojevic (205-88) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Marko Kandic (203-79) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Four Crnokosa players scored in double figures. Swingman Nebojsa Knezevic (196-87) produced 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and center Zoran Majkic (207-78) added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for the hosts. Proleter Naftagas' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Crnokosa moved-up to third place. Loser Proleter Naftagas keep the ninth position with eight games lost. Crnokosa will face league's second-placed Napredak Rubin in Krusevac in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Proleter Naftagas will play on the road against the league's leader Meridiana NS (#1) in Novi Sad and be promoted back to the A League just one year after relegation.

Mladost Cacak led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Beovuk 72's players. Beovuk 72 was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was center Milos Jankovic (203-94) who scored 32 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Lazar Spasic (184-93) chipped in 17 points, 8 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Center Ratko Petric (213-86) produced 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Marko Babic (196-93) added 15 points respectively for the guests. No shocking result in a game in Obrenovac where seventh ranked Partizan II (7-7) defeated 10th ranked Radnicki OB (5-9) 84-78 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Radnicki OB won third quarter 20-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Partizan II forced 22 Radnicki OB turnovers. Radnicki OB was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Mihajlo Andric (200-94, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. point guard Petar Aranitovic (192-94) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Dragan Boricic (201-77) produced a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals and Vlatko Ilic added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Five Napredak A. players scored in double figures. Center Slobodan Gugleta (-83) produced 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks and power forward Marko Ognjenovic (205-83) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Napredak A. moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Mladost Zemun and Partizan II. Zeleznicar at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Napredak A. is looking forward to face Plana (#12) in Velika Plana in the next round where they are favorite. Zeleznicar will play at home against Mladost Zemun (#7) and is hoping to win this game.

Spartak - Napredak K. 88-82

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Napredak Rubin (10-4) against fourteenth ranked Spartak (3-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Napredak Rubin was defeated by Spartak in a tough game in Subotica 82-88. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Napredak Rubin. Napredak Rubin was ahead by 6 points at the halftime before a 52-40 second half run of Spartak. They made 29-of-34 charity shots (85.3 percent) during the game. Napredak Rubin was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Jovan Samardzija orchestrated the victory by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 4 steals. Nemanja Raonic contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Sasa Mihajlovic (203-75) replied with 27 points and 4 steals (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!) and Vojkan Milincic (195-87) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Napredak Rubin. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Napredak Rubin's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Spartak maintains fourteenth position with 3-11 record. Napredak Rubin at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost. Spartak will play against higher ranked Mladost Cacak (#13) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Napredak Rubin will play against Crnokosa (#3) and will have a slim chance for a victory.

Morava - Plana 73-74

A very interesting game took place in Vladicin Han. It ended with only one-point home defeat of higher ranked Morava (8-6) to twelfth ranked Plana (5-9) 74-73 on Saturday evening. Center Nikola Glisovic (209-73) notched 24 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Bosnian guard Ivica Vukotic (183-77) supported him with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Plana players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 5 assists by guard Perica Mitic (184-85) did not help to save the game for Morava. Center Aleksandar Ilic (210-88) added 15 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Morava's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Plana moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Beovuk 72 and Radnicki OB. Morava at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Plana's next round opponent will be higher ranked Napredak A. (#6) in Aleksinac and it may be quite challenging game. Morava will play on the road against Partizan II in Beograd.

OKK Spars Sarajevo (Division I) landed 33-year old Serbian power forward Miljan Pupovic (210-115kg-83). He played most recently at Naft Abadan in Iranian Superleague. In 32 games he averaged 7.2ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.3apg last season. Pupovic helped them to make it to the final.
