Bottom-ranked Sloga managed to get a fifth victory on Saturday night. This time they won against seventh-ranked Radnicki Basket in Kraljevo 81-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Radnicki Basket. The game was mostly controlled by Sloga. Radnicki Basket managed to win second period 27-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Sloga especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. Naturalized Bosnian guard Marko Popovic (193-84) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 assists. Center Dusan Vuletic (207-90) contributed with 16 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Milos Bojovic (198-81, agency: Beo Basket) answered with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for Radnicki Basket. Sloga (5-12) moved-up to thirteenth place. Radnicki Basket at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Sloga are looking forward to face higher ranked Tamis (#10) in Pancevo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Radnicki Basket will play at home against Sloboda (#3) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
A League top team - Mega Vizura (14-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat twelfth ranked Smederevo Vizura (6-11) 89-73. The former international center Boban Marjanovic (222-88, agency: Beo Basket) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and Vasilije Micic chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Vojin Svilar (188-86, college: W.Georgia) responded with 18 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mega Vizura have a solid series of three victories in a row. Mega Vizura maintains first place with 14-3 record. Smederevo Vizura at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with BKK Radnicki. Mega Vizura will play against bottom-ranked KK Jagodina (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Smederevo Vizura will play against Vrsac and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Tamis moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. BKK Radnicki lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Smederevo. Tamis will meet at home Sloga (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BKK Radnicki will play against the league's second-placed Vojvodina in Novi Sad and hope to secure a win.
The game between fourth ranked Metalac (11-6) and 6th ranked Borac (8-9) in Valjevo ended with biggest points difference. Metalac outscored guests from Cacak 76-56. The best player for the winners was Dragan Kruscic who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Metalac's coach Dragan Nikolic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Metalac moved-up to third place, which they share with Sloboda Uzice. Borac at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Metalac's next round opponent will be OKK Beograd (#7) on the road. Borac will play against Konstantin in Nis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 17: Vrsac was beaten by Konstantin on the road 71-61. Jagodina was destroyed by Vojvodina on its own court 76-95. OKK Beograd unfortunately lost to Sloboda Uzice in a road game 68-83.
The most impressive performance of 17th round was 22 points and 8 rebounds by Slavko Stefanovic of Sloboda Uzice.



BKK Radnicki - Tamis 80-83

A very close game took place in Beograd between Tamis and BKK Radnicki. Tenth ranked Tamis (8-9) got a very close victory on the road over 11th ranked BKK Radnicki (6-11). Tamis managed to escape with a 3-point win 83-80 on Sunday evening. BKK Radnicki was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 30-24 charge of Tamis, which allowed them to win the game. They made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. Ivan Miceta (205-81) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and guard Branko Jereminov (187-87) accounted for 18 points and 5 assists. It looked good early as Smederevo Vizura took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Mega Vizura took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 16 points. Mega Vizura outrebounded Smederevo Vizura 35-22 including a 26-14 advantage in defensive rebounds.
