We bring you last week's top performances from Serbians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Nenad Krstic (212-83, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Russia. He could not help CSKA Moscow (4-2) in their last game. Despite Krstic's very good performance the third-placed CSKA Moscow lost 81-94 on the road to the lower-ranked (#6) Unicaja Malaga in the group E of Euroleague. He was the top scorer with 23 points. Krstic also added 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 30 minutes on the court. Krstic is currently eighth on the league's list of top scorers with 14.3ppg. He also averaged so far 4.2rpg, 2FGP: 65.4%(70-107) and FT: 75.8% in the 15 games he played so far. Krstic is currently a member of the Serbian senior national team.

Milos Teodosic

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Milos Teodosic (195-87, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nenad Krstic and both played together in the last Euroleague game. Teodosic, who plays in Russia. He was not able to help CSKA Moscow (4-2) in their last game on Friday. Despite Teodosic's very good performance CSKA Moscow (#3) was defeated 94-81 in Malaga by the lower-ranked Unicaja (#6) in the group E of Euroleague. He was the second best scorer with 17 points. Teodosic also added 8 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Teodosic belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #7. He has very reliable stats this season: 12.6ppg, 2.6rpg, 4.9apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 61.7%(37-60), 3FGP: 33.0% and FT: 89.1%. Teodosic is in the roster of the Serbian senior national team.

   #3. The Serbian player who performed third best last week abroad was former University international guard Uros Duvnjak (190-86, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Greece). He led AGOR to a 2-point victory over the closely-ranked Aris (6-9) 73-71 in the Greek A1 on Saturday night. Duvnjak was MVP of the game. He scored 36 points (!!!) in 36 minutes. A.G.O Rethymno Aegean (10-5) is placed fifth in the A1. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Duvnjak has relatively good stats this year: 13.1ppg, 2.7rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 57.5%(46-80), 3FGP: 36.5% and FT: 82.8% in the 15 games. He played for the Serbian university national team six years ago.

   #4. Center Vladimir Stimac (211-87, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Turkey) was the major contributor in a Banvit BK's victory against the closely-ranked Anadolu Efes (13-3) 82-76 in the Turkish TBL in Sunday night's game. Stimac recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 12 rebounds. Banvit Basketbol Kulubu (14-2) is placed second in the TBL. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. It's Stimac's first season with the team. Stimac is ranked fourth on the list of the best rebounders in the league. This season he has very good stats: 10.3ppg and 8.6rpg. Stimac is also Serbian national team player.

   #5. International power forward Nemanja Bjelica (209-88, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Spain) led Caja Laboral to a victory against the 15th-ranked Cajasol (7-12) 86-82 in the Spanish ACB on Saturday night. He recorded 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Caja Laboral Vitoria (16-3) is placed second in the ACB. It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. This season Bjelica has relatively solid stats: 10.7ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.1apg. He plays currently for the Serbian national team.

   #6. Guard Stefan Markovic (194-88, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB was not able to secure a victory for Valencia Basket (12-7) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Valencia Basket was edged 96-94 in Murcia by the much lower-ranked (#12) UCAM. Markovic recorded 15 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in 24 minutes. It was Valencia Basket's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Markovic averages: 5.4ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.6apg and 1.4spg in the 17 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Serbian National Team roster.

   #7. International power forward Zoran Erceg (210-85, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nenad Krstic. But that was another game of his team in Euroleague which we would like to mention. Erceg, who plays in Russia couldn't help CSKA Moscow (4-2) in their last game on Thursday. Despite his good performance CSKA Moscow (#3) was defeated in an overtime 86-78 in Madrid by the leading Real in the group E of Euroleague. Erceg was the second best scorer with 13 points. Erceg has reliable stats this season: 11.0ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.3spg. He is also Serbian national team player.

   #8. Forward Cedomir Vitkovac (201-82, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Eurocup) couldn't help Buducnost (2-2) in their game against Budivelnyk (3-1) in the Eurocup, despite his very good performance in Wednesday night's game. Vitkovac had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 5 assists in 34 minutes. But Buducnost (#3) was edged 77-75 at home by the leading Budivelnyk in the group I of Eurocup. There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Top 16. So now every game will be critical. Vitkovac's stats this year are: 14.5ppg, 7.0rpg and 2.8apg in the 10 games. He used to play for the Serbian university national team back in 2007.

Former U20 international power forward Djordje Majstorovic (209-90, currently plays in Slovenia) led Helios to a victory over the closely-ranked Rogaska (8-6) 74-60 in the Slovenian Telemach League on Saturday night. Majstorovic was the best player in that game. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 11 rebounds. Majstorovic also added 3 blocks in 36 minutes. Helios Domzale (10-4) is placed second in the Telemach League. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. This year Majstorovic's overall stats are: 7.3ppg and 5.0rpg in the 10 games. He used to play for the Serbian U20 national team three years ago.

Power forward Dusko Savanovic (204-83, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to an Anadolu Efes' victory against the sixth-ranked Unicaja Malaga (2-4) 78-73 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game. Savanovic scored 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Anadolu Efes Istanbul (5-1) is placed second in group E. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Savanovic's total stats this season are: 8.6ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1spg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Serbian National Team roster.

   #11. International power forward Milan Macvan (205-89, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group, currently plays in Eurocup) couldn't help Galatasaray in their game against ratiopharm Ulm in the Eurocup, despite his good performance last Wednesday. Macvan was the second best scorer with 10 points. He also added 4 rebounds in 28 minutes. But his team was crushed by 21 points 91-70. This year Macvan's total stats are: 8.3ppg and 3.1rpg in the 10 games. He plays currently for the Serbian national team.

   #12. Former University international power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-86, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Eurocup) couldn't help Stelmet ZG in their game against Spartak St.Petersburg in the Eurocup. Despite his very good performance on Wednesday night Borovnjak was the top scorer with 14 points. He also added 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Borovnjak averaged so far 15.0ppg, 5.3rpg and 2.3apg. He used to play for the Serbian university national team back in 2009.

   #13. Former University international guard Djordje Micic (195-83, currently plays in Poland) contributed to a PGE Turow's victory against one of league's weakest teams Start Gdynia 78-64 in the Polish TBL in Sunday night's game. Micic scored 13 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. He averaged so far 10.2ppg, 1.7rpg and 3.2apg. Micic used to play for the Serbian university national team six years ago.

   #14. International center Milovan Rakovic (208-85, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Gescrap BB in their game against Regal FC Barcelona in the Spanish ACB, despite his good performance last Sunday. He recorded 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in only 14 minutes. But his team was edged in an overtime 87-85. Rakovic has averaged so far 7.2ppg and 2.5rpg in the 18 games. He plays currently for the Serbian national team.

   #15. Former University international center Dusko Bunic (206-89, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Eurocup) is a teammate of previously mentioned Cedomir Vitkovac and both played together in the last Eurocup game. Bunic couldn't help Buducnost in their game against Budivelnyk. Despite his very good performance last Wednesday He was the second best scorer with 14 points. Bunic has averaged so far 7.1ppg and 2.6rpg. He used to play for the Serbian university national team two years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Serbian passport but never been selected to any of Serbian national teams:

   #1. Vladimir Micov (201-F-85, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Russia could not help CSKA Moscow (4-2) in their last game. Despite his good performance CSKA Moscow (#3) lost 81-94 on the road to the lower-ranked (#6) Unicaja Malaga in the group E of Euroleague. Micov scored 13 points and had 3 steals in 29 minutes. This year Micov averages: 7.1ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.6apg in the 16 games he played so far.

   #2. Branko Mirkovic (190-G-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza, currently plays in Bulgaria) led Rilski Sportist to a 3-point victory over the closely-ranked Levski Sofia (12-3) 88-85 in the Bulgarian NBL in Saturday night's game. Mirkovic was the best player in that game. He scored 32 points (!!!), grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 35 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Rilski Sportist Samokov (11-4) is placed third in the NBL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Mirkovic is currently seventh on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (third place). He has individually a very good year with high stats. Mirkovic averages: 17.3ppg, 3.9rpg, 5.6apg and 1.9spg in the 15 games.

   #3. Marko Marinovic (183-PG-83, currently plays in Bulgaria) faced previously mentioned Branko Mirkovic in the Bulgarian NBL last game. Marinovic was not able to help Levski Sofia (12-3) in their game against Rilski Sportist (11-4). Despite his very good performance last Saturday He was the top scorer with 28 points. Marinovic also added 8 passes. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Marinovic is currently eighth on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (fourth place). This season he has very high stats. Marinovic averages: 17.0ppg, 3.4rpg, 5.2apg and 1.5spg.

   #4. Oliver Stevic (204-F/C-84, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Poland) was the major contributor in an overtime Stelmet ZG's victory against the sixth-ranked AZS Koszalin (9-9) 85-80 in the Polish TBL last Saturday. Stevic had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added and 4 steals in 39 minutes. Stelmet Zielona Gora (13-5) is placed second in the TBL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Stevic is currently fourth on the list of best rebounders with 7.8rpg. This year he also averages: 10.8ppg, 1.2apg and 1.3spg in the 17 games.

   #5. Vladimir Jankovic (202-F-90, currently plays in Greece) led Panionios to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Peristeri GS (5-10) crushing them 91-69 in a derby game in the Greek A1 on Saturday night. Jankovic scored 18 points, made 3 passes and 3 steals. Panionios ON Telecoms Athens (12-3) is placed third in the A1. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Jankovic is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Panionios' roster. He belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #4. Jankovic has very solid stats this season: 13.3ppg, 7.0rpg and 2.1apg. He has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Greek. Despite Jankovic's Serbian passport, he previously played for the Greek U16 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Serbian team.

   #6. Milko Bjelica (205-F/C-84, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Spain) led Caja Laboral to a victory against the 15th-ranked Cajasol 86-82 in the Spanish ACB last Saturday. Bjelica recorded 11 points. Bjelica's overall stats this season are: 5.2ppg and 2.5rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Serbian and Montenegrin.

   #7. Uros Lucic (207-C-83, currently plays in Adriatic League) was not able to secure a victory for Krka in their game against Buducnost in the Adriatic League, despite his very good performance in Saturday night's game. Lucic was the second best scorer with 15 points. He also added 7 rebounds in 31 minutes. But his team lost 66-74. Lucic has averaged so far 7.7ppg and 4.1rpg in the 16 games.

   #8. Dusan Djordjevic (195-G-83, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Belgium) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider VOO Verviers-Pepinster crushing them 99-71 in the Belgian Ethias League last Saturday. He scored 18 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Djordjevic belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #4. He has averaged so far 9.1ppg, 3.4rpg and 4.6apg. Djordjevic has both Serbian and Montenegrin nationalities.

   #9. Experienced Jovo Stanojevic (208-C-77, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey) contributed to a TED Kolejliler's victory against the closely-ranked Tofas 93-80 in the Turkish TBL on Sunday night. He recorded 14 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 37 minutes. Stanojevic is currently second on the list of top scorers with 18.6ppg. This year his other stats are: 6.4rpg and 3.0apg in the 16 games.

   #10. Milos Miljkovic (204-F/C-84, currently plays in Slovenia) led Rogaska to a victory over the league leader Zlatorog 71-67 in the Slovenian Telemach League on Saturday night. Miljkovic was the top player that evening. He recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 13 rebounds. Miljkovic also added 2 blocks. Miljkovic is currently seventh on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (second place). He has very solid stats this season: 14.2ppg, 7.9rpg, 1.1apg and 1.3spg.

A2 newcomer G.S. Larissas 1928 added to their roster 29-year old Serbian guard Stefan Nikolic (193-85kg-87) from Pefkohori. In 26 A2 games in Greece he recorded 12.7ppg, 3.4rpg and 4.1apg last season. A very spectacular year in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Greek A2 Honorable Mention.
