Metalac - Radnicki Basket 79-71

Not a big story in a game in Valjevo where 7th ranked Radnicki Basket (9-10) was defeated by third ranked Metalac (13-6) 79-71. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Radnicki Basket won third quarter 29-27. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for guard Stefan Zivanovic (196-89) who helped to win the game recording 30 points. Montenegrin Bojan Bakic (195-83, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Montenegrin center Maksim Sturanovic (209-88, agency: Beo Basket) answered with 9 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Nikola Markovic (208-89) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Radnicki Basket. Four Radnicki Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Metalac. They maintain third place with 13-6 record having just three points less than leader Mega Vizura. Radnicki Basket at the other side keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Metalac's next round opponent will be Tamis (#9) in Pancevo which should be theoretically an easy game. Radnicki Basket's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beograd OKK Beograd.
