There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in A League.

The most important game in the last round took place in Kragujevac between third ranked Sabac (11-8) and seventh ranked Sumadija KG (9-9) on Wednesday night. Sabac was defeated by Sumadija KG on the road 54-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sabac. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 24-7 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Sumadija KG dominated on the defensive end, holding Sabac to just 7 points in third quarter. Swingman Marina Markovic (181-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Hristina Marjanovic (170-92) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Center Mirjana Velisavljevic (188-78) replied with 8 points and 11 rebounds for Sabac. Sabac's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sumadija KG moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Vrbas Medela and Srbobran. Sabac at the other side dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. Sumadija KG is looking forward to face Vrbas Medela (#6) on the road in the next round. Sabac will play against Radnicki KG in Kragujevac and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A League top team - Crvena Zvezda (17-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Vrbas Medela (9-9) 86-64. Worth to mention a quality performance of point guard Aleksandra Stanacev (167-94) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Ana Niksic who added 13 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Crvena Zvezda's coach Zoran Kovacic felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Natasa Mijatovic (191-89) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Crvena Zvezda have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-1 record. Vrbas Medela at the other side keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Sumadija KG and Srbobran. Crvena Zvezda will play against league's second-placed Jagodina 2001 at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vrbas Medela will play against Sumadija KG in Kragujevac and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Celarevo is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 18th consecutive match to sixth ranked Srbobran Reahem (9-9) 84-60 on Wednesday evening. The winners were led by Kristina Milosevic who scored that evening 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 18 points by Marija Radosevic did not help to save the game for Celarevo. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Srbobran Reahem moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Vrbas Medela and Sumadija KG. Loser Celarevo still closes the standings. Srbobran Reahem will meet Beocin (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Celarevo will play against Stara Pazova and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Nis was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Radnicki KG (11-7) played at the court of 8th ranked Student Radnicki (8-11). Radnicki KG defeated Student Radnicki 70-58. The best player for the winners was Nikolina Milic who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Radnicki KG moved-up to third place. Student Radnicki lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Radnicki KG's next round opponent will be Sabac (#4) at home.

In the last game of round 20 Beocin was beaten by Jagodina 2001 on the road 83-72.
The most impressive performance of 20th round was 27 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists by Ivana Grubor of Jagodina 2001.


Vrbas Medela - Crvena Zvezda 64-86

A League top team - Crvena Zvezda (17-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Vrbas Medela (9-9) 86-64. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Vrbas Medela. The game was mostly controlled by Crvena Zvezda. Vrbas Medela was better in third quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Crvena Zvezda made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Crvena Zvezda outrebounded Vrbas Medela 45-27 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of point guard Aleksandra Stanacev (167-94) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Bosnian forward Ana Niksic (181-91) who added 13 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Jagodina 2001 - Beocin 83-72

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Jagodina 2001 (15-3) beat at home 10th ranked Beocin (4-14) 83-72. The game was mostly controlled by Jagodina 2001. Beocin was better in third quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Jagodina 2001 forced 20 Beocin turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Ivana Grubor (185-84) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Jelena Mitic (172-89) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Jagodina 2001 players scored in double figures. Guard Tamara Ruzic (180-79, college: Charleston So.) produced 11 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and naturalized Swedish swingman Jelena Jakovljevic (179-95) added 17 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Jagodina 2001 maintains second position with 15-3 record having just two points less than leader Crvena Zvezda. Beocin lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 14 games lost. Jagodina 2001's next round opponent will be league's leader Crvena Zvezda in Beograd and it will be for sure the game of the week. Beocin will play at home against Srbobran Reahem (#5).

Srbobran - Celarevo 84-60

Bottom-ranked Celarevo is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 18th consecutive match to sixth ranked Srbobran Reahem (9-9) 84-60 on Wednesday evening. The game without a history. Srbobran Reahem led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Celarevo's 34. They outrebounded Celarevo 47-18 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by forward Kristina Milosevic (177-90) who scored that evening 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Jovana Karakasevic (190-92) supported her with 22 points. Four Srbobran Reahem players scored in double figures. Even 18 points by Marija Radosevic did not help to save the game for Celarevo. Guard Nina Ninkovic (160-90) added 8 points and 5 assists for the guests. They made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Student Radnicki only scored seven points from the stripe. The best player for the winners was Bosnian center Nikolina Milic (195-94) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Aleksandra Katic (172-87, college: Brown) chipped in 17 points. Center Marija Ilic (190-85, agency: Global Sports Plaza) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and forward Marija Tosic (178-83) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Former international Forward Marina Mandic (182-F-83) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Vrsac, receiving a Court Side Player of the Week award for round 18. The 33-year old player was the main contributor (24 points, eight rebounds and three assists) to her team's victory, helping them to crush Vrbas Medela (#6, 10-8) with 17-point margin 81-64. LFB newcomer Tarbes Gespe Bigorre inked experienced 38-year old Serbian ex-international power forward Ivanka Matic (193-79). It is actually her comeback to Tarbes as she has played here before.
