Here is the weekly review of the top performing Serbian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international guard Sanja Orozovic (183-90, currently plays in Slovenia). She led Athlete Celje to a victory over the seventh-ranked AJM Maribor (4-10) crushing them 96-62 in the Slovenian SKL in Saturday night's game. Orozovic was MVP of the game. She had a double-double by scoring 35 points and getting 10 rebounds. Orozovic also added 7 assists and 4 steals in 31 minutes on the court. ZKK Athlete Celje (14-1) is placed first in the SKL. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Orozovic is ranked third on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best rebounders (fifth place). She has individually a very good year with high stats. Orozovic averages: 17.8ppg, 8.3rpg, 2.6apg, 2.3spg, 3FGP: 29.3% and FT: 67.6% in the 12 games she played so far. She played for the Serbian senior national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Tijana Ajdukovic (195-91, agency: Regeneracom Sports, currently plays in Italy). She was the major contributor in Parma's victory against the seventh-ranked C.U.S. Chieti (4-10) crushing them 75-48 in the Italian A1 in Sunday night's game. Ajdukovic recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Lavezzini Parma (10-3) is placed third in the A1. Ajdukovic's overall stats this season are: 5.7ppg, 4.9rpg, 2FGP: 47.8% and FT: 76.2%. She is in the roster of the Serbian senior national team.

   #3. The Serbian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Milica Ivanovic (175-88, agency: Interperformances, college: Catawba, currently plays in Romania). Ivanovic contributed to Sf.Gheorghe's victory against the 12th-ranked Rapid (4-15) 88-78 in the Romanian Liga Nationala last Saturday. She recorded 22 points in 26 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Ivanovic's second season in pro basketball. BC Sepsi SIC Sfantu Gheorghe (14-5) is placed fourth in the Liga Nationala. It was her team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Ivanovic's first year with the team. Ivanovic belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #8 with 15.4ppg. This year she also averages: 2.6rpg, 2.2apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 49.5%, 3FGP: 44.1% and FT: 74.2% in the 19 games. Ivanovic is also a member of the Serbian senior national team.

Guard Biljana Pesovic (180-83, currently plays in Romania) was the main contributor in Timisoara's victory against the 13th-ranked Cluj Napoca (3-14) 68-50 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Saturday night. She was the best player in that game. Pesovic recorded 21 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks. BCM Bega Danzio Timisoara (14-7) is placed sixth in the Liga Nationala. Pesovic is ranked sixth on the list of the top scorers in the league. This season she has very high stats. Pesovic averages: 17.0ppg, 5.1rpg, 2.7apg and 2.3spg. She used to play for the Serbian national team back in 2011.

Former University international guard Maja Scekic (169-87, currently plays in Hungary) contributed to a 2-point Atomeromu's victory against the fifth-ranked BSE-FCSM (8-15) 85-83 in the Hungarian A Division last Thursday. Scekic scored 20 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Atomeromu KSC Szekszard (14-5) is placed second in Places 9-14 group. It was her team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Scekic's first season with the team. Scekic is currently seventh on the league's list of top scorers. She has very reliable stats this season: 13.6ppg, 3.4rpg, 2.8apg and 1.7spg. Scekic used to play for the Serbian university national team four years ago.

An experienced power forward Ivanka Matic (193-79, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to a CSM Targoviste's victory against the leader Good Angels (9-3) 72-64 in the Euroleague on Wednesday night. She scored 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. CSM Targoviste (4-8) is placed fifth in group B. They ended the series of six consecutive loses. Matic's team will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. This year Matic's overall stats are: 5.4ppg and 4.5rpg in the 12 games. She is an international player who is currently on the senior Serbian National Team roster.

Vukoje recorded 15 points and added 6 passes. CSU Alba Iulia (13-6) is placed fifth in the Liga Nationala. Vukoje's total stats this season are: 8.8ppg, 2.7rpg, 2.8apg and 1.9spg. She used to play for the Serbian national team three years ago.

Bajic was the top player that evening. She recorded 21 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists in 38 minutes. CSM Sportul Studentesc Bucuresti (9-12) is placed ninth in the Liga Nationala. It was her team's first victory after three consecutive loses. Bajic has relatively good stats this year: 12.1ppg, 4.4rpg and 4.4apg in the seven games. She used to play for the Serbian university national team back in 2009.

Former international center Zorica Mitov (189-87, currently plays in Romania) helped Craiova win their game against the 12th-ranked Rapid 82-75 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Wednesday night. Mitov scored 19 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 40 minutes. This year Mitov has relatively solid stats: 12.0ppg, 7.8rpg and 1.3spg in the 21 games. She used to play for the Serbian national team five years ago.

   #12. International power forward Iva Roglic (189-88, currently plays in Hungary) is a teammate of previously mentioned Maja Scekic and both played together in the last Hungarian A Division game. Roglic helped Atomeromu edge the fifth-ranked BSE-FCSM 85-83. She scored 11 points, grabbed 5 boards, dished 3 assists and stole 3 balls. Roglic has reliable stats this season: 11.3ppg, 5.8rpg, 3.0apg and 1.8spg. She is also in the roster of the Serbian national team.

   #13. Former international center Jefimija Karakasevic (191-89, currently plays in Italy) faced previously mentioned Tijana Ajdukovic in the Italian A1 last game. Karakasevic, who plays in the Italian A1 could not help C.U.S. Chieti to beat Parma. She was the second best scorer with 8 points. Karakasevic also added 11 rebounds. Her team was crushed by 27 points 75-48. Karakasevic belongs to league's best blockers and is ranked #5. She has averaged so far 6.4ppg, 8.4rpg, 1.1bpg and 1.4spg. Karakasevic used to play for the Serbian national team three years ago.

   #14. Former U20 international power forward Nina Djokovic (184-87, college: Bethel, TN, currently plays in Romania) faced previously mentioned Tamara Bajic in the Romanian Liga Nationala last game. Djokovic, who plays in the Romanian Liga Nationala was not able to help Brasov in their last game on Saturday. Despite her good performance Brasov was defeated 79-74 on the road by the lower-ranked Sp.Studentesc (#9). Djokovic recorded 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. She averaged so far 14.0ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.7apg. Djokovic used to play for the Serbian U20 national team back in 2007.

   #15. Former international guard Maja Miljkovic (175-88, also represented by LBM Management, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Ivanka Matic and both played together in the last Euroleague game. Miljkovic helped her Romanian team CSM Targoviste win their game against the leader Good Angels 72-64. She scored only 4 points in 11 minutes. Miljkovic has averaged so far 4.6ppg, 1.9rpg and 1.5apg in the 12 games. She used to play for the Serbian national team two years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Serbian passport but never been selected to any of Serbian national teams:

   #1. Ivana Matovic (197-C-83, currently plays in Turkey) contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Antakya (7-10) 72-57 in the Turkish TKBL last Sunday. Matovic recorded 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu (16-1) is placed first in the TKBL. Matovic has relatively good stats this season: 13.9ppg, 5.3rpg and 2.4apg.

   #2. Experienced Suzana Milovanovic (185-F-79, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Romania) led ICIM Arad to a victory over the ninth-ranked Sp.Studentesc (9-12) crushing them 109-47 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Wednesday night. She was the best player in that game. Milovanovic scored 21 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 26 minutes. BC ICIM Arad (18-1) is placed first in the Liga Nationala. It was her team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. This year Milovanovic's overall stats are: 8.5ppg, 3.1rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1spg in the 18 games she played so far.

   #3. Tijana Krivacevic (194-F-90, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Hungary could not help Good Angels (9-3) to beat CSM Targoviste (4-8). Krivacevic scored 6 points in 23 minutes. The first-placed Good Angels lost 64-72 on the road to the lower-ranked (#5) CSM Targoviste in the group B of Euroleague. It was Good Angels' first loss after six consecutive victories. Her team will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Krivacevic's first season with the team. This year Krivacevic's overall stats are: 9.5ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.3apg and 1.2spg in the 12 games. She has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Hungarian.

   #4. Marija Prlja (163-G-87, currently plays in Romania) was the main contributor in Craiova's victory against the 12th-ranked Rapid (4-15) 82-75 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Wednesday night. Prlja was the top player that evening. She recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and making 10 passes. SCM CSS Craiova (16-5) is placed second in the Liga Nationala. It was her team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Prlja is currently fourth on the list of best passers. This season she has very good stats: 11.8ppg, 3.1rpg, 4.3apg and 1.8spg.

   #5. Milica Micovic (182-G-84, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Salerno (8-11) crushing them 72-48 in the Italian A2 (12th division) last Sunday. Micovic recorded 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 23 minutes. Passalacqua Spedizioni Ragusa (18-1) is placed first in South group. It was her team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. Micovic's stats this year are: 10.6ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.3spg in the 19 games. She is another player who holds two passports: Serbian and Italian.

   #6. Milena Vukicevic (188-F/C-80, currently plays in Greece) was not able to help Athinaikos in their game against Kronos AD in the Greek A1. She recorded 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 16 minutes. Her team was edged 66-64. Vukicevic has averaged so far 6.6ppg and 3.1rpg in the 14 games.

   #7. Marija Micovic (187-F-82, also represented by Players Group, currently plays in Italy) was the major contributor in Irpino's victory against the 12th-ranked College Italia crushing them 67-38 in the Italian A2 (12th division) last Sunday. She recorded 12 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Micovic averaged so far 13.8ppg, 8.1rpg and 1.1spg. She has both Serbian and Italian nationalities.

   #8. Sonja Maric (185-F-85, currently plays in Romania) contributed to an easy victory against the 13th-ranked Cluj Napoca 68-50 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Saturday night. Maric recorded 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 31 minutes. She has averaged so far 9.4ppg and 4.8rpg in the five games.

   #9. Jovana Milovanovic (171-G-83, agency: Global Sports Plaza, currently plays in Czech Republic) was not able to secure a victory for Lokomotiva Karlovy Vary in their game against Basket Slovanka MB in the Czech Republic ZBL. Milovanovic recorded 9 points and had 3 steals in 30 minutes. Her team was badly defeated by 17 points 80-63. Milovanovic belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #3 with 3.2apg. She also averaged so far 8.4ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.4spg in the 17 games.

ZKK Partizan 1953 Beograd (1 ZLS) signed 27-year old Montenegrin ex-international guard Jelena Culafic (172-89) from Sumadija Kragujevac. Culafic has played there for the last three years. In 22 1 ZLS games in Serbia she had 10.4ppg, 4.1rpg, 4.3apg and 1.9spg last season. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others her team made it to the Serbian Cup Final Four in 2015. Culafic was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Serbian League 2nd Team in 2015. UNIQA Euroleasing Sopron (A Division) re-signed 25-year old Serbian international center Sara Krnjic (191-91). Krnjic played in the summer at Washington Mystics (WNBA). She managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!). First Krnjic played at MKB Euroleasing where in 24 games she recorded 12.1ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.2apg and 1.5spg. Quesos el Pastor Zamarat (LFB) signed 26-year old Serbian forward Jelena Jovanovic (184-90). She played last season at Buducnost in Montenegrin 1A ZCKL. In two MZRKL games she had 3.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.0apg and 1.0spg. Jovanovic also played that season for Neftochimic in Bulgarian NBL where in 14 games she recorded 13.9ppg, 6.3rpg, 2.6apg and 1.5spg.
