There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Meridiana NS (14-2) in Krusevac on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Napredak Rubin (11-5) 82-77. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Meridiana NS. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Meridiana NS won third quarter 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 31 personal fouls committed by Meridiana NS helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Petar Beader (205-85, agency: BeoExcell) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds and guard Luka Milojevic (193-91) who added 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Milan Stanojevic (188-86, college: E.Washington) responded with 26 points and 6 assists. Meridiana NS's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Napredak Rubin moved-up to second place, which they share with Crnokosa. Newly promoted Meridiana NS still keeps top position with two games lost. Napredak Rubin is looking forward to face Zeleznicar (#6) in Indjija in the next round. Meridiana NS will play at home against the league's second-placed Crnokosa (#2) in Kosjeric and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Fourteenth-ranked Spartak (3-13) gave a tough game to second ranked Crnokosa (11-5) in Subotica. The visitors from Kosjeric managed to secure only three-point victory 79-76. However their fans expected much easier game. The winners were led by forward Marko Kandic (203-79) who scored that evening 19 points and Srdjan Stojanovic supported him with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Even 20 points and 8 rebounds by power forward Aleksandar Drakulic (198-85) did not help to save the game for Spartak. Spartak's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Crnokosa have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-5 record having just three points less than leader Meridiana NS, which they share with Napredak K. Spartak at the other side stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Crnokosa will play against league's leader Meridiana NS in Novi Sad in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Spartak will play on the road against Radnicki OB (#11) in Obrenovac and hopes to get back on the winning track.
An interesting game took place in Zemun where higher ranked Mladost Zemun (8-8) was upset on its own court by thirteenth ranked Plana (6-10) 93-86 on Saturday. Miroslav Radic fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Nenad Banjanin produced 27 points for lost side. Plana moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Beovuk 72 and Radnicki OB. Loser Mladost Zemun keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Plana will meet at home higher ranked Proleter Naftagas (#9) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mladost Zemun will play against Partizan II in Beograd and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game took place in Zrenjanin where higher ranked Zeleznicar (8-7) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Proleter Naftagas (7-9) 72-67. It was a very good performance for Nebojsa Knezevic who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Proleter Naftagas moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Partizan II. Zeleznicar lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Proleter Naftagas' next round opponent will be Plana (#12) in Velika Plana.

Loser Mladost Cacak dropped to the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Radnicki OB will face bottom-ranked Spartak (#14) in Subotica in the next round. Mladost Cacak will play at home against Morava in Vladicin Han.

In the last two games of round 16 Beovuk 72 lost to Morava on the opponent's court 82-89. Napredak A. managed to outperform Partizan II in a home game 86-73.


Radnicki OB - Mladost Cacak 77-63

Thirteenth ranked Radnicki OB (6-10) beat at home 12th ranked Mladost Cacak (5-10) by 14 points 77-63, which is the biggest margin this round on Monday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mladost Cacak. Radnicki OB moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Beovuk 72 and Plana. Loser Mladost Cacak dropped to the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Radnicki OB will face bottom-ranked Spartak (#14) in Subotica in the next round. Mladost Cacak will play at home against Morava in Vladicin Han.

Mladost Zemun - Plana 86-93

An interesting game took place in Zemun where higher ranked Mladost Zemun (8-8) was upset on its own court by thirteenth ranked Plana (6-10) 93-86 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 30-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Plana made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Mladost Zemun's players. Guard Miroslav Radic (195-84) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Very expected game in Vladicin Han where 10th ranked Beovuk 72 (6-10) was defeated by fourth ranked Morava (10-6) 89-82 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Beovuk 72 was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Milan Milenkovic (191-86) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and center Aleksandar Andrejevic (211-91) who added 10 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Ratko Petric (213-86) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Dejan Pejic scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Morava and four Beovuk 72 players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Morava maintains fourth position with 10-6 record. Loser Beovuk 72 keeps the tenth place with ten games lost. Rather predictable result in Aleksinac where sixth ranked Napredak A. (9-7) defeated 8th ranked Partizan II (7-9) 86-73 on Saturday. The game without a history. Napredak A. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Napredak A. outrebounded Partizan II 35-16 including a 24-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Dragoljub Sikman who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds and Igor Kesar who added 16 points during the contest. At the losing side point guard Petar Aranitovic (192-94) responded with 25 points (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Mladen Djordjevic (187-94) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Napredak A. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Fourteenth-ranked Spartak (3-13) gave a tough game to second ranked Crnokosa (11-5) in Subotica. The visitors from Kosjeric managed to secure only three-point victory 79-76. However their fans expected much easier game. Spartak was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 26-20 charge of Crnokosa, which allowed them to win the game. Spartak was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by forward Marko Kandic (203-79) who scored that evening 19 points and Srdjan Stojanovic supported him with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Even 20 points and 8 rebounds by power forward Aleksandar Drakulic (198-85) did not help to save the game for Spartak. Aleksandar Sokolovic (194) added 15 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for lost side. Spartak's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Crnokosa have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-5 record having just three points less than leader Meridiana NS, which they share with Napredak K. Spartak at the other side stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Crnokosa will play against league's leader Meridiana NS in Novi Sad in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Spartak will play on the road against Radnicki OB (#11) in Obrenovac and hopes to get back on the winning track.
