Krnjetina comes back to Vojvodina - Feb 16, 2013

Vojvodina Nis Novi Sad (A League) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old former Serbian international guard Natasa Krnjetina (180-88). It is actually her comeback to Novi Sad as she played here before. Krnjetina started the season at SKBD Rucon in Slovakian Extraliga. The last season she played at ZKK Vrsac (previous name Hemofarm). In 7 A League games last year she recorded 11.7ppg, 3.3rpg, 3.4apg and 1.7spg. Krnjetina also played 19 games in Adriatic League where she averaged 7.3ppg, 3.0rpg, 2.5apg and 1.5spg. She helped them to make it to the semifinals.
The previous (10-11) season Krnjetina played at Vojvodina. In 22 Adriatic League games that season she averaged 8.7ppg, 3.4rpg, 2.6apg and 1.7spg.
Her team won Serbian Cup in 2012. Krnjetina was a member of Serbian Senior National Team last year.

Power forward Bojana Stevanovic (180-F/C-96) put on an amazing game in the last round for Sabac, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2. The 21-year old player was the main contributor (15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Vrsac (#12, 0-2) with 55-point margin 99-44. There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in 1 ZLS. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Spartak (1-1) in Subotica on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by Vrbas Medela (1-1) 79-65. The game was mostly controlled by Vrbas Medela. Spartak managed to win fourth quarter 22-20. Here is the weekly review of the top performing Serbian players, who play currently abroad. This week's number one is an international forward Danielle Page (188-86). She could not help Abdullah Gul (0-1) in their last game. Despite Page's very good performance the third-placed Abdullah Gul (0-1) was edged 76-74 on the road by the leading Istanbul Uni in the group E of Eurocup.    [read more]
