   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Milos Teodosic (195-87, currently plays in Euroleague). He led his Russian team CSKA Moscow to a victory over the closely-ranked Panathinaikos (4-3) 86-69 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game. Teodosic was MVP of the game. He recorded 20 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists in 32 minutes on the court. CSKA Moscow (5-2) is placed third in group E. Teodosic is ranked fifth on the list of the best passers in the league with 5.1apg. He also averaged so far 13.1ppg, 2.6rpg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 61.5%(40-65), 3FGP: 35.1% and FT: 87.8% in the 17 games he played so far. Teodosic is currently a member of the Serbian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international power forward Nemanja Bjelica (209-88, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Spain. He could not help Caja Laboral (4-3) in their last game on Friday. Despite Bjelica's very good performance the fifth-placed Caja Laboral was defeated 85-74 on the road by the second-ranked Montepaschi Siena in the group F of Euroleague. He was the second best scorer with 15 points. Bjelica also added 7 rebounds. Bjelica has relatively good stats this season: 11.1ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.1apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 62.1%(41-66), 3FGP: 34.8% and FT: 83.3%. He is in the roster of the Serbian senior national team.

   #3. The Serbian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Dusko Savanovic (204-83, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague). Savanovic was the major contributor in a 2-point Anadolu Efes' victory against the closely-ranked Real Madrid (6-1) 74-72 in the Euroleague on Thursday night. He recorded 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 27 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group E. Anadolu Efes Istanbul (6-1) is placed first. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This year Savanovic averages: 8.9ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.2apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 41.9%, 3FGP: 31.0% in the 17 games. He is also a member of the Serbian senior national team.

Point guard Nemanja Nedovic (191-91, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in VTB United League) was the main contributor in a Lietuvos rytas' victory against the eighth-ranked Kalev/Cramo (3-11) crushing them 95-73 in the VTB United League in Sunday night's game. Nedovic was the best player in that game. He scored 19 points and added 3 passes. Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius (8-6) is placed fifth in group A. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the VTB United League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Nedovic's first season with the team. This year Nedovic has relatively solid stats: 10.3ppg, 2.3rpg and 2.3apg. He is also Serbian national team player.

International center Milovan Rakovic (208-85, currently plays in Eurocup) contributed to a Gescrap BB's victory against the closely-ranked CEZ Nymburk (1-4) 83-69 in the Eurocup on Tuesday night. He was the top player that evening. Rakovic scored 18 points. Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao Basket (3-2) is placed third in group J. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Eurocup Top 16. And now that game is very crucial. Rakovic's overall stats this season are: 8.5ppg and 4.5rpg. He plays currently for the Serbian national team.

   #6. Center Nenad Krstic (212-83, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Milos Teodosic and both played together in the last Euroleague game. Krstic helped his Russian team CSKA Moscow win their game against the closely-ranked Panathinaikos (4-3) 86-69. He recorded 8 points and blocked 2 blocks. Krstic has reliable stats this season: 13.9ppg and 4.1rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Serbian National Team roster.

Vukosavljevic recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added and 4 steals. Politekhnika-Halychyna Lviv (18-12) is placed fourth in the Superleague. Vukosavljevic has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 16.0ppg and 9.7rpg. Vukosavljevic used to play for the Serbian university national team back in 2007.

International center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88, currently plays in Ukraine) helped Azovmash win their game against the closely-ranked Ferro-ZNTU (19-11) crushing them 105-84 in the Ukrainian Superleague on Friday night. He recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 11 rebounds. Raduljica also added 4 assists and 4 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Azovmash Mariupol (21-8) is placed second in the Superleague. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Raduljica averaged so far 12.4ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.1apg. He is also in the roster of the Serbian national team.

   #10. Guard Aleksandar Vlahovic (190-90, currently plays in Romania) helped Ploiesti win their game against the 14th-ranked Oradea (0-20) 91-77 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Friday night. Vlahovic was the top player that evening. He scored 28 points (!!!) and added 5 assists in 34 minutes. CSU Asesoft Ploiesti (14-7) is placed fifth in the Liga Nationala. Vlahovic is ranked fifth on the list of the best passers in the league with 5.5apg. This year his other stats are: 13.2ppg and 2.2rpg in the 19 games. Vlahovic is a former U20 international player as three years ago he still played for the Serbian national team.

   #11. International power forward Zoran Erceg (210-85, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Milos Teodosic. He played also in the last Euroleague game facing Nenad Krstic (above) in the other team. Erceg managed to help CSKA Moscow in a victory against the closely-ranked Panathinaikos 86-69. He recorded 5 points in 18 minutes. This year Erceg's overall stats are: 9.5ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.3spg in the four games. He plays currently for the Serbian national team.

   #12. Former U20 international center Uros Lukovic (212-89, currently plays in Balkan League), who plays in FYR Macedonia was not able to help Kumanovo 2009 (3-3) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite his very good performance Kumanovo 2009 (#5) was defeated 88-75 in Samokov by the second-ranked Rilski Sportist in the group C of Balkan League. Lukovic recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 14 rebounds. He also added 3 blocks. Lukovic is currently fifth on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (first place). This season he has very high stats. Lukovic averages: 16.1ppg, 11.3rpg and 2.6bpg. He used to play for the Serbian U20 national team back in 2009.

   #13. International power forward Milan Macvan (205-89, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group, currently plays in Eurocup) was not able to secure a victory for Galatasaray in their game against Unics Kazan in the Eurocup. Macvan scored 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 26 minutes. His team lost 57-64. This year Macvan's total stats are: 8.2ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.1apg in the 11 games. He is also Serbian national team player.

   #14. Former University international power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-86, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Eurocup) helped his Polish team Stelmet ZG win their game against the closely-ranked Cajasol 85-81 in the Eurocup in Tuesday night's game. Borovnjak scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He averaged so far 14.2ppg, 5.6rpg and 2.0apg. Borovnjak used to play for the Serbian university national team back in 2009.

   #15. International guard Stefan Markovic (194-88, currently plays in Eurocup) helped his Spanish team Valencia Basket win their n overtime game against the leader VEF Riga 103-96 in the Eurocup on Tuesday night. Markovic scored 8 points and added 4 assists. He has averaged so far 5.9ppg, 2.4rpg, 4.4apg and 1.4spg. Markovic is also in the roster of the Serbian national team.


The list of other players, who all have Serbian passport but never been selected to any of Serbian national teams:

   #1. Vladimir Micov (201-F-85, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Panathinaikos (4-3) 86-69 in the Euroleague last Thursday. Micov recorded 10 points and added 4 assists in 31 minutes. CSKA Moscow (5-2) is placed third in group E. This year Micov's overall stats are: 7.3ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.8apg in the 17 games he played so far.

   #2. Oliver Stevic (204-F/C-84, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Eurocup) was the major contributor in a Stelmet ZG's victory against the closely-ranked Cajasol (0-5) 85-81 in the Eurocup in Tuesday night's game. Stevic scored 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 32 minutes. Stelmet Zielona Gora (2-3) is placed third in group K. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. They will play only one more game in the Eurocup Top 16. And that game will be critical. Stevic is ranked sixth on the list of the best rebounders in the league with 7.5rpg. He also averaged so far 14.0ppg, 1.4apg and 1.1spg in the 11 games.

   #3. Branko Mirkovic (190-G-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza, currently plays in Balkan League) led his Bulgarian team Rilski Sportist to a victory over the fifth-ranked Kumanovo 2009 (3-3) 88-75 in the Balkan League last Tuesday. He was the top player that evening. Mirkovic scored 21 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 37 minutes. Rilski Sportist Samokov (3-3) is placed second in group C. There are only four games left until the end of the Balkan League Second Stage. Mirkovic is currently third on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (second place). He has individually a very good year with high stats. Mirkovic averages: 16.4ppg, 3.7rpg, 6.1apg and 2.2spg in the nine games.

   #4. Experienced Jovo Stanojevic (208-C-77, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey) contributed to a TED Kolejliler's victory against the 12th-ranked Gaziantep (5-13) 86-79 in the Turkish TBL in Saturday night's game. Stanojevic scored 16 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 31 minutes. TED Kolejliler Ankara (10-8) is placed seventh in the TBL. Stanojevic belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #2 with 18.0ppg. He also averaged so far 6.1rpg and 3.1apg in the 18 games.

   #5. Vladimir Petrovic-Stergiou (199-F/G-77, agency: BeoExcell, currently plays in Greece) helped Apollon Patras win their game against the 11th-ranked Peristeri GS (5-11) 86-76 in the Greek A1 last Saturday. Petrovic-Stergiou recorded 24 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. AS Apollon Patras (8-9) is placed sixth in the A1. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Petrovic-Stergiou averaged so far 13.8ppg, 5.3rpg, 2.2apg and 1.1spg. He has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Greek.

   #6. Rade Dzambic (188-G-80, agency: TSS Management, college: NYIT, currently plays in Romania) helped Craiova win their game against the tenth-ranked CSU Sibiu crushing them 90-68 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Saturday night's game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and making 10 passes. Dzambic also added and 4 steals. Dzambic is currently second on the list of best passers. This season he has very high stats. Dzambic averages: 15.8ppg, 4.4rpg, 7.0apg and 1.4spg.

   #7. Vanja Plisnic (207-F/C-80, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey) is a teammate of previously mentioned Jovo Stanojevic and both played together in the last Turkish TBL game. Plisnic helped TED Kolejliler win their game against the 12th-ranked Gaziantep 86-79. He scored 14 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Plisnic's total stats this season are: 9.5ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.4apg.

   #8. Vladimir Panic (194-F-82, currently plays in Bulgaria), who plays in the Bulgarian NBL could not help Balkan (11-6) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Balkan lost 71-82 on the road to the leading Lukoil Academik. Panic was the top scorer with 21 points. He also added 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 37 minutes. Panic has very impressive stats this year: 15.7ppg, 4.7rpg and 2.5apg in the six games.

   #9. Darko Habus (187-PG-82, currently plays in Romania) is a teammate of previously mentioned Rade Dzambic and both played together in the last Romanian Liga Nationala game. Habus was the main contributor in Craiova's victory against the tenth-ranked CSU Sibiu crushing them 90-68. He was the top player that evening. Habus scored 21 points, had 5 boards, passed 3 assists and added 5 steals in 37 minutes. He averaged so far 11.2ppg, 2.6rpg, 1.5apg and 1.7spg in the 21 games.

   #10. Dusan Mladjan (198-SG-86, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Switzerland) helped Lugano Tigers win their game against the eighth-ranked Starwings crushing them 103-79 in the Swiss LNA on Saturday night. He was the top player that evening. Mladjan scored 33 points (!!!), had 6 boards, dished 4 assists and stole 3 balls in 39 minutes. Mladjan is currently third on the list of top scorers with 19.9ppg. This year his other stats are: 3.1rpg, 1.6apg and 1.6spg in the 14 games. Mladjan is another player who holds two passports: Serbian and Swiss.

BC Partizan NiS Beograd (KLS) added 22-year old guard Stefan Pot (196-94) from KK Mladost Z Admiral Zemun to their training camp. In 19 KLS games he was second best scorer with impressive 20.5ppg and recorded 4.2rpg, 5.7apg (top 3) and 1.6spg last season. He can count that year as a very successful as was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Serbian League Honorable Mention. Pot also spent pre-season at Metalac that year where in four Adriatic League games he averaged 7.8ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.8apg....   [read more]

Partizan and U-Banca Transilvania finished their test game in a draw 73:73. Kyndall Dykes (192-SG-87, college: New Orleans) led all scorers with 22 points for the Romanian team. Partizan eked out a 17:15 lead ten minutes into the game. U-Banca stepped on the gas in the second frame. The Romanian team pulled ahead for a 36:30 halftime lead.
