Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Meridiana NS (15-3) in Subotica on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by fourteenth ranked Spartak (4-14) 95-94. Spartak dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Meridiana NS's 38 and made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Spartak forced 22 Meridiana NS turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Meridiana NS helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Milos Milisavljevic who saved his team from a defeat with 40 points (!!!). Power forward Slobodan Ljubotina (207-84, agency: BeoExcell) contributed with 12 points and 4 steals for the winners. Ivan Djurovic replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds for Meridiana NS. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Spartak maintains fourteenth position with 4-14 record. Newly promoted Meridiana NS still keeps top place with three games lost. Spartak are looking forward to face higher ranked Morava (#4) in Vladicin Han in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Meridiana NS will play on the road against Zeleznicar in Indjija and is hoping to win this game.

Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Morava have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Napredak K. and Crnokosa. Radnicki OB at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Beovuk 72. Morava will play against bottom-ranked Spartak (#14) in Subotica in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Radnicki OB will play at home against Napredak A. (#5) in Aleksinac and hopes to get back on the winning track.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 18: Mladost Cacak was beaten by Napredak A. on the road 79-64. Mladost Zemun won against Beovuk 72 on its own court 98-86. Plana unfortunately lost to Napredak K. in Krusevac 79-86. Crnokosa managed to beat Zeleznicar at home 86-78.


Morava - Radnicki OB 91-75

The game between fourth ranked Morava (12-6) and 11th ranked Radnicki OB (7-11) in Vladicin Han ended with biggest points difference. Morava beat guests from Obrenovac 91-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Radnicki OB. Radnicki OB was ahead by 10 points at the halftime before a 53-27 second half run of Morava. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Radnicki OB's 34. Radnicki OB was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Perica Mitic (184-85) scored 26 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Milos Andrejevic (198-89) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Vlatko Ilic with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Aleksa Stamenkovic scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Radnicki OB players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Morava have a solid four-game winning streak. No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Napredak A. (10-8) beat 13th ranked Mladost Cacak (5-12) in Aleksinac 79-64. They outrebounded Mladost Cacak 40-24 including a 35-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Napredak A. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Radmilo Mojsilovic scored 21 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Slavisa Djukic chipped in 18 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Strahinja Petkovic (197-92) with 11 points and 4 steals and Petar Rakicevic scored 12 points. Four Mladost Cacak players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Napredak A. moved-up to fifth place. Mladost Cacak lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Napredak A. will play against Radnicki OB (#11) in Obrenovac in the next round where they are favorite. Mladost Cacak will play at home against Mladost Zemun and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Rather expected game when 10th ranked Beovuk 72 (7-11) lost on the road to eighth ranked Mladost Zemun (9-9) 98-86. Beovuk 72 was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Mladost Zemun made 23-of-28 charity shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Beovuk 72 was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Nenad Banjanin (201-85, college: E.Michigan) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Nikola Pavlovic chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Igor Djukovic with 23 points and 7 rebounds and forward Marko Babic (196-93) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Beovuk 72's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Mladost Zemun moved-up to seventh place.
