Metalac is lying in third position after 22 out of 26 rounds in Serbian League and their president is already working on strengthening their roster for Superliga, where three Adriatic League teams and top five teams from first part of Serbian League will play. Former Partizan player Slavko Vranes (230-C-83, agency: Beo Basket) is training with Metalac and will play for them in Superliga. Team from Valjevo will try to finish among top 4 and qualify for Adriatic League next season. However, they will certainly need to strengthen their roster more -especially with new point guard- in order to achieve top 4 finish. Currently, their main playmaker is president's son Djukan Djukanovic (181-G-92). Slavko Vranes didn't play this season yet. 30-year-old center from Montenegro spent previous season in Iran after playing Euroleague basketball for four years (three with Partizan and one with Unics Kazan).

Nemanja Todorovic (205-C/F-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Borac, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1 (Second Stage). The 25-year old player had a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Dynamic BG (#3, 0-1) 75-64. It allowed Borac to consolidate first place in the Serbian KLS. But it's just the very beginning of the Second Stage and Borac won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. It was one of impressive evenings for Todorovic as usually he does not deliver so high stats.
The second best player in last round's games was 32-year old Montenegrin Milko Bjelica (207-F/C-84, agency: BeoBasket) of Crvena Zvezda. Bjelica had a very good evening with 21 points and 3 rebounds. Of course he led Crvena Zvezda to another comfortable win outscoring Spartak (0-1) 89-54. His team has extremely good start of the Second Stage. They won their first game. However the Second Stage is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Bjelica is a newcomer at Crvena Zvezda, but is already one of team's top players.
Third on the list of top players last round was Australian forward Jonah Bolden (208-F-96) of FMP (#6). Bolden scored 20 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of FMP, leading his team to a 90-70 easy win against Mega Leks (#8, 0-1). FMP has a very good start of the Second Stage. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Bolden also has a very good start of the Second Stage with very strong stats. The season just started for Bolden as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
