Nikola Jevtovic (208-F/C-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Sloboda Uzice and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 23-year old power forward had a double-double of 21 points and twelve rebounds, while his team beat Konstantin (13-10) 80-68. Sloboda Uzice is placed at 5th position in Serbian A League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Sloboda Uzice will need more victories to improve their 13-10 record. Jevtovic has many years of experience at Sloboda Uzice, through which he has constantly improved. Jevtovic has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 6.1rpg) and averages solid 62.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old Bosnia and Herzegovina forward Nikola Jeftic (202-F-85) of OKK Beograd. Jeftic impressed basketball fans with 28 points and 7 rebounds. It was enough for OKK Beograd to edge the higher-ranked Mega Vizura (#2, 18-5) by 6 points 90-84. OKK Beograd's 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-12 record. Jeftic is a newcomer at OKK Beograd and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Miroslav Radenkovic (204-F-83) of Smederevo (#12). Radenkovic scored 17 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Smederevo, leading his team to a 74-70 win against slightly lower-ranked Sloga (#13, 7-16). The chances of Smederevo not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 15 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Radenkovic could try to bring Smederevo's a little bit higher in the standings. Radenkovic has individually a great season in Serbia. After 23 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.5rpg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Stanoje Knezevic (202-PF-89) of OKK Beograd - 17 points, 17 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Vuk Malidzan (193-G-88) of OKK Beograd - 12 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists
6. Nikola Vujicic (185-G-89) of Jagodina - 18 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Danilo Sibalic (204-F/C-88) of Smederevo - 29 points and 8 rebounds
8. Nemanja Protic (182-G-86) of Borac - 24 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Nikola Tomasevic (192-G-90) of Metalac - 20 points and 8 rebounds
10. Ivan Miceta (205-FC-81) of Tamis - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Todorovic number one in Serbia for round 1 - 11 hours ago
Nemanja Todorovic (205-C/F-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Borac, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1 (Second Stage). The 25-year old player had a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Dynamic BG (#3, 0-1) 75-64. It allowed Borac to consolidate first place in the Serbian KLS. But it's just the very beginning of the Second Stage and Borac won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the...   [read more]

Nikola Vujicic gets MVP of the Week award for Serbian 2MLS - 11 hours ago
Montenegrin Nikola Vujicic (185-G-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for Jagodina and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com 2MLS Player of the Week award for round 26. The 27-year old guard had a double-double of 30 points and twelve rebounds, while his team beat Boljevac (6-20) 93-88. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Jagodina is placed at 12th position in Serbian 2MLS. The season is in a full swing, so it's...   [read more]

KLS Round 1 (Superliga): Mega Leks lose against FMP - 1 day ago
The Second Stage in KLS just started. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Mega Leks (0-1) in Beograd on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by FMP (1-0) 90-70. The game without a history. FMP led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. FMP forced 19 Mega Leks turnovers and outrebounded them 38-25 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They look...   [read more]
