We bring you last week's top performances from Serbians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Nenad Krstic (212-83, currently plays in Euroleague). He led his Russian team CSKA Moscow to a victory over the seventh-ranked ALBA Berlin (1-9) 80-65 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game. Krstic was MVP of the game. He scored 20 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 29 minutes on the court. CSKA Moscow (7-3) is placed third in group E. There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Top 16. So now every game will be critical. Krstic is currently seventh on the league's list of top scorers with 13.9ppg. He also averaged so far 4.2rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 61.9%(91-147) and FT: 77.5% in the 19 games he played so far. Krstic is currently a member of the Serbian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Milos Teodosic (195-87, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nenad Krstic. But that was another game of his team in Euroleague which we would like to mention. Teodosic contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Brose Baskets Bamberg (0-10) crushing them 78-58. He recorded 16 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists. CSKA Moscow (7-3) is placed third in group E. Teodosic is ranked ninth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best passers (fifth place). He has very reliable stats this season: 13.7ppg, 2.9rpg, 5.1apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 59.0%(46-78), 3FGP: 37.4% and FT: 88.1%. Teodosic is in the roster of the Serbian senior national team.

   #3. The Serbian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Dusko Savanovic (204-83, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey). He was the main contributor in a 2-point Anadolu Efes' victory against the ninth-ranked Aliaga (8-13) 59-57 in the Turkish TBL on Sunday night. Savanovic was the best player in that game. He scored 19 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 22 minutes. Anadolu Efes Istanbul (17-4) is placed fourth in the TBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Savanovic averages: 9.2ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.5apg, 2FGP: 55.5%(61-110), 3FGP: 24.1% and FT: 79.2% in the 20 games. He is also a member of the Serbian senior national team.

Forward Ivan Radenovic (209-84, college: Arizona, currently plays in VTB United League) was the major contributor in a BC Donetsk's victory against the closely-ranked PGE Turow (4-12) 99-85 in the VTB United League last Monday. Radenovic recorded 26 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 7 assists in 35 minutes. BC Donetsk (7-9) is placed seventh in group A. There are only two games left until the end of the VTB United League Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This year Radenovic's overall stats are: 8.9ppg, 5.1rpg and 2.0apg in the 14 games. He used to play for the Serbian national team back in 2010.

International power forward Nemanja Bjelica (209-88, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to a Caja Laboral's victory against the eighth-ranked Besiktas (0-10) 83-73 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game. He recorded 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in 28 minutes. Caja Laboral Vitoria (5-5) is placed sixth in group F. They ended the series of five consecutive loses. There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Top 16. So now every game will be important. Bjelica has relatively good stats this year: 10.8ppg, 5.1rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1spg in the 18 games. He plays currently for the Serbian national team.

Power forward Milan Macvan (205-89, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group, currently plays in Turkey) helped Galatasaray win their game against the eighth-ranked Erdemir (8-13) crushing them 84-61 in the Turkish TBL on Saturday night. Macvan scored 16 points in a mere 18 minutes. Galatasaray Medical Park Istanbul (18-4) is placed second in the TBL. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. It's Macvan's first season with the team. This year his total stats are: 9.7ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.2apg in the 20 games. Macvan is an international player who is currently on the senior Serbian National Team roster.

Former University international power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-86, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Poland) helped Stelmet ZG edge the league leader PGE Turow (15-7) 91-89 in the Polish TBL last Friday. Borovnjak recorded 18 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 29 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Stelmet Zielona Gora (15-7) is placed second in the TBL. The Regular Season already ended. This year Borovnjak has relatively solid stats: 14.9ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.6apg in the nine games. He used to play for the Serbian university national team four years ago.

   #8. Guard Stefan Markovic (194-88, currently plays in Eurocup) helped his Spanish team Valencia Basket win their game against the leader Unics Kazan (4-2) 80-70 in the Eurocup on Wednesday night. Markovic recorded 10 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group J. Valencia Basket (4-2) is placed second. Markovic has averaged so far 6.1ppg, 2.8rpg, 4.7apg and 1.5spg. He plays currently for the Serbian national team.

Former University international power forward Sava Lesic (205-88, currently plays in Ukraine) helped Khimik win their game against the tenth-ranked Kryvbasbasket (14-21) crushing them 92-63 in the Ukrainian Superleague in Sunday night's game. Lesic was the top player that evening. He had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 10 rebounds in 23 minutes. Khimik-OPZ Yuzny (21-13) is placed third in the Superleague. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Lesic has reliable stats this year: 10.8ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.1apg and 1.2spg in the 32 games. He used to play for the Serbian university national team two years ago.

Forward Cedomir Vitkovac (201-82, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Adriatic League), who plays in Montenegro could not help one of league's weakest teams Buducnost (15-9) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Buducnost was defeated 78-63 on the road by the higher-ranked Radnicki KG (#3). Vitkovac was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 4 rebounds. There are only two games left until the end of the Adriatic League Regular Season. Vitkovac's stats this season are: 10.2ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.6apg. He is a former university international player as six years ago he still played for the Serbian national team.

   #11. International point guard Nemanja Nedovic (191-91, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in VTB United League), who plays in Lithuania was not able to help Lietuvos rytas (8-8) in their last game on Monday. Despite Nedovic's good performance the sixth-placed Lietuvos rytas was defeated 88-79 at home by the second-ranked Khimky in the group A of VTB United League. He recorded 12 points. Nedovic averaged so far 10.4ppg, 2.3rpg and 2.3apg. He plays currently for the Serbian national team.

   #12. Former U20 international power forward Djordje Majstorovic (209-90, currently plays in Slovenia), who plays in the Slovenian Telemach League was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Helios (12-6) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Helios was edged 75-73 in Lasko by the leading Zlatorog. Majstorovic was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 9 rebounds. Majstorovic has averaged so far 7.7ppg and 4.9rpg. He used to play for the Serbian U20 national team back in 2010.

   #13. International center Vladimir Stimac (211-87, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Turkey) helped Banvit BK edge the closely-ranked Mersin 92-90 in the Turkish TBL in Saturday night's game. He scored 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Stimac is currently fifth on the league's list of best rebounders. He has averaged so far 9.6ppg and 7.8rpg. Stimac is also Serbian national team player.

   #14. International center Milovan Rakovic (208-85, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB couldn't help Gescrap BB (15-9) in their last game. Despite his good performance Gescrap BB lost 59-63 in Malaga to the much lower-ranked (#11) Unicaja. Rakovic scored 11 points in 21 minutes. He has averaged so far 7.0ppg and 2.5rpg in the 23 games. Rakovic plays currently for the Serbian national team.

   #15. Former University international power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Ukraine) couldn't help Halychyna in their game against Cherkasy in the Ukrainian Superleague. Despite his very good performance on Thursday night He recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 14 rebounds. Vukosavljevic has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 16.2ppg, 10.2rpg and 1.1apg. Vukosavljevic used to play for the Serbian university national team six years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Serbian passport but never been selected to any of Serbian national teams:

   #1. Vladimir Micov (201-F-85, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague) was the major contributor in a CSKA Moscow's victory against the eighth-ranked Brose Baskets Bamberg (0-10) crushing them 78-58 in the Euroleague in Wednesday night's game. Micov recorded 17 points. CSKA Moscow (7-3) is placed third in group E. There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Top 16. So now every game will be critical. It's Micov's first season with the team. His overall stats this year are: 7.9ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.7apg.

   #2. Experienced Vanja Plisnic (207-F/C-80, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL could not help TED Kolejliler (11-10) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Plisnic's very good performance TED Kolejliler was defeated 94-86 at home by the second-ranked Galatasaray. He was the top scorer with 25 points. Plisnic also added 7 rebounds and made 2 blocks (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Plisnic's total stats this season are: 10.0ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.3apg.

   #3. Oliver Stevic (204-F/C-84, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Poland), who plays in the Polish TBL was not able to help Stelmet ZG (15-7) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Stevic's very good performance Stelmet ZG was defeated 100-96 on their home court in Zielona Gora by the much lower-ranked Rosa Radom (#10). He recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 10 rebounds. Stevic also added 3 assists. The Regular Season already ended. Stevic is currently fifth on the list of best rebounders. This season he has very good stats: 11.1ppg, 7.7rpg, 1.4apg and 1.2spg.

   #4. Ivan Ivanovic (205-F-80, currently plays in Romania) led Gaz Metan to a 1-point victory over the ninth-ranked CSU Sibiu (12-13) 75-74 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Sunday night's game. He was the top player that evening. Ivanovic recorded 27 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 3 assists. CS Gaz Metan Medias (17-8) is placed fifth in the Liga Nationala. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. This season Ivanovic has relatively solid stats: 13.9ppg, 6.4rpg and 2.1apg. He has a dual citizenship: Montenegrin and Serbian.

   #5. Marko Marinovic (183-PG-83, currently plays in Bulgaria) led Levski Sofia to a victory against the sixth-ranked Beroe (5-13) 91-83 in the Bulgarian NBL last Saturday. Marinovic recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and making 11 passes. He also added 4 rebounds. Levski Sofia (16-3) is placed second in the NBL. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Marinovic is currently eighth on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (fourth place). He has individually a very good season with high stats. Marinovic averages: 16.6ppg, 3.3rpg, 5.3apg and 1.6spg.

   #6. Uros Lucic (207-C-83, currently plays in Adriatic League), who plays in Slovenia was not able to secure a victory for Krka (9-14) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Krka lost 63-76 on the road to the higher-ranked (#6) Un.Olimpija. Lucic was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 5 rebounds in 27 minutes. Lucic has averaged so far 8.5ppg and 4.3rpg in the 20 games he played so far.

   #7. Jovo Stanojevic (208-C-77, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey) is a teammate of previously mentioned Vanja Plisnic and both played together in the last Turkish TBL game. Stanojevic, who plays in the Turkish TBL couldn't help TED Kolejliler (11-10) in their last game. Despite his very good performance TED Kolejliler lost 86-94 on their home court in Ankara to the second-ranked Galatasaray. Stanojevic was the second best scorer with 16 points. Miladin Pekovic (197-G/F-83, agency: BeoExcell, currently plays in FYR Macedonia) led Kozuv to a victory over the closely-ranked Feni Indistrija 85-79 in the FYR Macedonian Prva Liga on Saturday night. Pekovic was the top player that evening. He scored 27 points (!!!), grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 30 minutes. Pekovic's stats this year are: 13.0ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.2apg and 1.1spg in the 14 games.

   #10. Vladimir Jankovic (202-F-90, currently plays in Greece) couldn't help Panionios in their game against AGOR in the Greek A1. He recorded 9 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in 25 minutes. His team lost 68-78. Jankovic is ranked third on the list of the best rebounders in the league with 7.2rpg. He also averaged so far 13.0ppg and 1.9apg in the 18 games. Jankovic is another player who holds two passports: Serbian and Greek. Despite his Serbian nationality, Jankovic previously played for the Greek U16 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Serbian team.
