There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in A League.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Vojvodina (18-6) in Novi Sad on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by tenth ranked Tamis (11-13) 84-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Vojvodina. Vojvodina trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 22-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 83-84 at the end of the game. It was a good game for Ivan Miceta (205-81) who saved his team from a defeat with 29 points (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Guard Branko Jereminov (187-87) contributed with 14 points and 7 assists for the winners. Tamis' coach Nebojsa Biro used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Power forward Dragan Zekovic (210-87, agency: Beo Basket) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds for Vojvodina. Tamis moved-up to ninth place, which they share with OKK Beograd. Vojvodina at the other side dropped to the second position with six games lost. Tamis is looking forward to face league's leader Mega Vizura at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Vojvodina will play against Borac in Cacak and is hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Nis. Fourth ranked Konstantin (14-10) saved a 3-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Metalac (15-9) 76-73 on Saturday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Montenegrin center Milovan Savic (205-87) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds and Danilo Tasic who added 8 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Konstantin's coach Bosko Djokic used entire bench in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Montenegrin Bojan Bakic (195-83, agency: Interperformances) with 25 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Newly promoted Konstantin maintains fourth position with 14-10 record. Metalac at the other side keeps the third place with nine games lost. Konstantin will play against OKK Beograd (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Metalac will play against Smederevo Vizura (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Radnicki Basket will play against Vrsac and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Sloboda (13-11) and Smederevo Vizura (9-15), which took place in Smederevo. Higher ranked Sloboda lost to twelfth ranked Smederevo Vizura in a road game 69-87. The best player for the winners was Danilo Sibalic who scored 26 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Smederevo Vizura moved-up to eleventh place. Sloboda at the other side keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Smederevo Vizura's next round opponent will be higher ranked Metalac (#3) in Valjevo and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sloboda will play at home against KK Jagodina.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 24: OKK Beograd was beaten by Vrsac on the road 95-84. Bottom-ranked Jagodina lost to Sloga on its own court 87-98. BKK Radnicki unfortunately lost to Borac in Cacak 84-91.



Mega Vizura - Radnicki Basket 81-74

A League top team - Mega Vizura (19-5) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat seventh ranked Radnicki Basket (12-12) 81-74. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-74. Mega Vizura made 17-of-17 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Mega Vizura outrebounded Radnicki Basket 43-30 including a 36-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by the former international center Boban Marjanovic (222-88, agency: Beo Basket) who scored that evening 8 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and point guard Vasilije Micic (191-94, agency: Beo Basket) supported him with 15 points. Even 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals by power forward Nikola Markovic (208-89) did not help to save the game for Radnicki Basket. Important game to mention about took place in Nis. Fourth ranked Konstantin (14-10) saved a 3-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Metalac (15-9) 76-73 on Saturday evening. It looked good early as Metalac took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Konstantin had a 20-13 second period charge getting the lead and Metalac was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 73-76. Konstantin dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Metalac's 24. Konstantin had a 14-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Montenegrin center Milovan Savic (205-87) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds and forward Danilo Tasic (202-93) who added 8 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Vrsac (13-11) beat at home 8th ranked OKK Beograd (11-13) 95-84. The game was mostly controlled by Vrsac. OKK Beograd was better in fourth quarter 25-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vrsac players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by OKK Beograd's players. Partizan NIS won national championship in junior category - May 27, 2016

Partizan NIS team is a new champion of Serbia in junior category! Black-whites were better during most of final game and celebrated 51-48 victory vs. Crvena Zvezda Telekom in front of 600 spectators at Ranko Zeravica Hall in Belgrade.Vanja Marinkovic(198-SG-97, agency:BeoBasket)was in the team for both F4 games and he added big contribution to this achievement. Croatian Power forward Tomislav Gabric (204-PF-95) had an amazing evening in the last round for Metalac, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6 (Second Stage).
