Game 2 is scheduled for Tuesday, June 18th. Serbia took 17-12 lead at the end of the first period and dominated the first half. The guests added 13-8 in the second frame and led 10 points at the halftime. Italy however erupted with 24-12 and grabbed 2-point advantage entering the last period. Serbia meanwhile posted a 17-10 in the final quarter and won the first appearance. Natasa Kovacevic (187-F-94, agency: Interperformances) stepped up with 20 points for the winners and Dijane Dijana Stancic (182-G/F-93) netted 15. Aleksandra Stanacev (167-PG-94) brought 9, while Brajkovic delivered 6. Giulia Bona (171-F-94) notched 7 points in the losing effort, whilst Erkoli, Milaco and Ramo added 6 apiece. Rediani and Pena had 4 points for the home side.

Serbia celebrated a vital victory over Latvia on the final day of the preliminary action at 2013 EuroBasket Group C. Both teams entered the game having suffered two defeats in the starting two games. Serbia celebrated a vital victory over Latvia on the final day of the preliminary action at 2013 EuroBasket Group C. Both teams entered the game having suffered two defeats in the starting two games. Jelena Milovanovic (190-PF-89) scored 15 points and helped Serbia gain the victory that allowed them to advance into the Second Stage of the tournament. Serbia grabbed the initiative early in the game. They rolled to a 20:14 lead at the first break. Serbia kept Latvia at distance throughout the second period. They accounted for a 31:24 halftime lead. Babkina pulled Latvia within a single point early in the third term 30:31. But Serbia hung on to escape with a 43:36 lead at the final intermission. Jansone and Babkina erased the deficit midway through the fourth period. They evened things up at 48. However Matic and Jovanovic allowed Serbia to gain some breathing space at 55:50. Kristine Karklina (175-G-83, agency: Regeneracom Sports) sank four straight free throws to cut it back to one 56:57 with 57 seconds remaining. But Jelena Milovanovic and Rad came up with five free throws in the dying seconds to seal the victory for Serbia. Rad notched 10 points, while Dajana Butulija (176-SG-86, agency: Interperformances) had 9 points in the win. Kristine Karklina answered with 17 points for Latvia. Les Bleus were assertive right from tip off. They cleared off to a 20:8 lead after ten minutes of action. Serbia found it difficult to deliver on the offensive end as France kept on running away in the second frame. Les Bleus ensured a 38:15 halftime advantage. More to come in the third term. Les Bleus did not slow down as they gained a comfortable 30-point lead at the final intermission. Les Bleus finished off their opponents with a massive 21:7 run in the fourth frame.
