Crvena zvezda mts - Fenerbahce 75:73

In front of almost 8.000 people in Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, Crvena zvezda was home team to vice-champion of Euroleague, Fenerbahce.
Before the game Turkish powerhouse was on 10-6 record and Crvena zvezda was on 8-8.
Entire game was on one-two ball difference. First quarter was finished with tied result 23:23. Only on third quarter home team did go on two digit difference when they lead the game with +10 (54:44) on 6:30 until the end of third period of this very interesting match. But Fenerbahce responded very quickly via Bogdan Bogdanovic and Luigi Datome (203-F-87) who scored some easy points and got game again tied. In last quarter teams entered with Crvena zvezda lead 61:59 and it was match on one possession until the very end. At one moment Fenerbahce took control with lead of 63:67 and it seems in that time they will push more and win the game but Crvena zvezda did succeed to comeback with Ognjen Kuzmic (213-C-90) and Marko Simonovic (201-F-86, agency: BeoBasket) layups for 67:67. Last offensive for home team was for Crvena zvezda when Charles Jenkins (191-SG-89, college: Hofstra) scored huge middle-range shoot for 75:73 for red-whites. After that, Head Coach of Fenerbahce, Zeljko Obradovic was call the timeout. His team has 13 seconds to try to score, Ekpe Udoh (208-F/C-87, college: Baylor) played on post with Ognjen Kuzmic (213-C-90) but Serbian center blocked him and Marko Simonovic (201-F-86, agency: BeoBasket) took the rebound for final result of 75:73 for Crvena zvezda.

Trefl Sopot (PLK) re-signed 28-year old Serbian power forward Nikola Markovic (208-89). He played there last season. In 31 PLK games he recorded 13.5ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.7apg and 1.9spg. A very good season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Polish League 2nd Team. BC Khimki Moscow Region (VTB) is close to sign 29-year old Serbian international guard Stefan Markovic (197-99kg-88) who played last time at Zenit Saint Petersburg. In 14 Eurocup games he had 11.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 9.1apg and 1.4spg last season. He helped them to make it to the quarterfinals. Markovic also played 30 games in VTB United League where he recorded 10.3ppg, 4.5rpg, 7.6apg (top 2) and 1.4spg.
