Vuk Malidzan
The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Dynamic BG (13-4) in Beograd on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Dunav SB (10-7) 78-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dynamic BG. Point guard Vuk Malidzan (193-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Lazar Zorcic (205-88) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Jamaican center Kimani Ffriend (211-77, college: Nebraska) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for Dynamic BG. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Dunav SB maintains fifth place with 10-7 record, which they share with Mladost ZE and Tamis. Dynamic BG at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Vrsac. Dunav SB is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Konstantin (#14) in Nis in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dynamic BG will play on the road against Mladost ZE (#6) in Zemun and is hoping to win this game.
An interesting game for Borac (12-5) which hosted in Cacak leader Vrsac (13-4). Third ranked Borac managed to get a 10-point victory 78-68. Point guard Marko Radonjic (191-93) stepped up and scored 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Aleksandar Todorovic chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Nikola Jeftic (205-87) responded with 21 points. Borac have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain third place with 12-5 record behind leader Vrsac. Vrsac at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Dynamic BG. Borac will play against Tamis (#7) in Pancevo in the next round. Very predictable result when fourth ranked Spartak (11-6) won against 10th ranked Metalac (7-10) in Subotica 74-68.
