Todorovic
An interesting game for Borac (15-5) which played road game in Beograd against second-ranked Dynamic BG (15-5). Third ranked Borac had an easy win 81-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dynamic BG. Strangely Dynamic BG outrebounded Borac 43-28 including 17 on the offensive glass. Bosnian power forward Aleksandar Todorovic (206-87) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. point guard Marko Marinovic (183-83) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Jamaican center Kimani Ffriend (211-77, college: Nebraska) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds for Dynamic BG. Borac have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Dynamic BG. Borac is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Konstantin (#14) in Nis in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Dynamic BG will play on the road against Spartak (#4) in Subotica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
KLS top team - Vrsac (16-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked KK Napredak Rubin Krusevac (10-10) 75-65. Worth to mention a quality performance of Montenegrin swingman Milos Savovic (200-89) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds and Mirko Djeric who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Swingman Jovan Djordjevic (198-93) responded with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vrsac have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-4 record. KK Napredak Rubin Krusevac at the other side keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Metalac and Beovuk 72. Vrsac will play against Sloga (#12) in Kraljevo in the next round which should be an easy win for them. KK Napredak Rubin Krusevac will play at home against Tamis (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Stari Banovci was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Spartak (13-7) played at the court of 6th ranked Dunav SB (11-9). Spartak managed to secure a 6-point victory 85-79 on Saturday. The winners were led by Predrag Prlja who scored that evening 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Even a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds by Lazar Zorcic did not help to save the game for Dunav SB. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Spartak maintains fourth position with 13-7 record. Newly promoted Dunav SB keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Tamis. Spartak will meet at home higher ranked Dynamic BG (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Dunav SB will play against OKK Beograd and hope to secure a win.
