The Regular Season in KLS just ended. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with derby games and favorites losing the games.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Beograd: Dynamic BG (#3) and Beovuk 72 (#5). Dynamic BG (20-6) won against visiting Beovuk 72 (14-12) 99-93. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Beovuk 72. Dynamic BG looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dynamic BG made 8 blocks. 28 personal fouls committed by Beovuk 72 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Andreja Stevanovic (189-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 4 steals. Jamaican center Kimani Ffriend (211-77, college: Nebraska) contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Dynamic BG's coach Miroslav Nikolic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Dejan Pejic (196-93) replied with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for Beovuk 72. Dynamic BG moved-up to second place, which they share with Borac. Beovuk 72 at the other side keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Dunav SB.
Bottom-ranked Smederevo managed to get a fourth victory. This time they won against thirteenth-ranked Konstantin in Nis 85-79. Swingman Stefan Simic (193-96, agency: BeoBasket) scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Stefan Kenic chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Guard Jovan Antic (189-89) responded with 43 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Smederevo (4-22) moved-up to thirteenth place. Konstantin at the other side dropped to the bottom.
KLS top team - Vrsac (22-4) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat seventh ranked Tamis (13-13) in Pancevo 80-69. Nikola Jeftic notched 16 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort. Vrsac's coach Vladimir Djokic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 24 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by Dusan Milosevic did not help to save the game for Tamis. Vrsac have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-4 record. Tamis lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Mladost ZE.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Mladost ZE (13-13) and OKK Beograd (11-15), which took place in Zemun. Higher ranked Mladost ZE lost at home to eleventh ranked OKK Beograd 78-83. The best player for the winners was Strahinja Jovanovic who scored 30 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Mladost ZE's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. OKK Beograd maintains eleventh position with 11-15 record. Mladost ZE lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 13 games lost.
The game between second ranked Borac (20-6) and 12th ranked Sloga (8-18) in Cacak on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Borac outscored guests from Kraljevo 83-57. Marko Marinovic orchestrated the victory by scoring 10 points and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Borac have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 20-6 record having just two points less than leader Vrsac, which they share with Dynamic BG. Loser Sloga keeps the twelfth place with 18 games lost.

In the last two games of round 26 Napredak K. was beaten by Spartak on the road 85-70. Dunav SB won against Metalac on its own court 98-87.

Tamis - Vrsac 69-80

KLS top team - Vrsac (22-4) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat seventh ranked Tamis (13-13) in Pancevo 80-69. Vrsac shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Power forward Nikola Jeftic (205-87) notched 16 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Australian guard Mirko Djeric (191-95) supported him with 13 points. Vrsac's coach Vladimir Djokic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 24 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by guard Dusan Milosevic (198-90, agency: BeoExcell) did not help to save the game for Tamis. Swingman Adam Mirkovic (199-91) added 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the hosts. Vrsac have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-4 record. Tamis lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Mladost ZE.

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Spartak (16-10) beat 10th ranked KK Napredak Rubin Krusevac (12-14) in Subotica 85-70 on Wednesday. Guard Milos Nikolic (185-96, agency: Mansfield and Associates) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Center Predrag Prlja (205-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Jovan Djordjevic (198-93) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Dejan Janjic (200-95) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for KK Napredak Rubin Krusevac. Five Spartak and four KK Napredak Rubin Krusevac players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Spartak maintains fourth position with 16-10 record. Loser KK Napredak Rubin Krusevac dropped to the ninth place with 14 games lost.

The game between second ranked Borac (20-6) and 12th ranked Sloga (8-18) in Cacak on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Borac outscored guests from Kraljevo 83-57. Borac made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. Borac had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Sloga's players. Sloga was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch.
