Prievidza conquered Extraliga title. They defeated Komarno in the fourth game of the series to clinch the trophy. David Godbold (196-G-85, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement, college: Oklahoma) knocked down 18 points to pace Prievidze to the first title since 1995. The teams stayed close throughout the first half. The hosts eked out a narrow 21:19 lead after ten minutes. The lead changed hands for several times throughout intense second quarter. Prievidza had the last say as they snatched a 36:33 lead at halftime. The teams remained neck and neck in the third term. The lead changes continued before the hosts posted a 50:46 lead with ten minutes to go. Prievidza led by just one point with under four minutes to go but they went on an 11:4 run in the dying moments to seal the crucial win at the end. Sullivan Phillips (198-G/F-79, college: Wash.Adventist) posted 13 points, while Paul Guede (195-G/F-87, agency: Interperformances, college: Portland St.) added 10 points in the victory. Louis Johnson (203-F/C-86, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management, college: W.Illinois) and Johnathon Jones (183-G-88, agency: TSS Management, college: Oakland) answered with 13 points each for Komarno.
Nitra earned the Slovakian Cup title. They overcame Komarno in the Cup Final. Denis Clemente (185-PG-86, agency: KMG Sports Management, college: Kansas St.) exploded with unloaded 36 points to lead the charge. Nitra strongly opened the game. They grabbed an 8:2 lead early in the encounter. Nitra ensured a 20:13 lead after ten minutes of action. Komarno managed to narrow the deficit in the second quarter. They got within just three points at the interval 36:39. Komarno tied things up at 42 before Nitra went ahead again. They built a 59:51 lead with one quarter remaining. Komarno got as close as six points in the final quarter but Nitra hung on to escape with the win at the end. Branislav Tomek (205-C-83) finished with 16 points, while Marek Jass (194-G-90) added 14 points in the victory. Sinisa Bilic (201-F-89) answered with 21 points for Komarno. Johnathon Jones (183-G-88, agency: TSS Management, college: Oakland) had 18 points in the loss.
