Prievidza decided to strengthen their backcourt. The team landed Jeremy Fears (196-G-85, college: Bradley). The 24-year-old guard spent the previous season in Austria. He played for Kapfenberg averaging 18.1 points, 4.0 boards, 3.4 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Jeremy Fears moved to Hungary at the start of the new season and appeared in three games. Handlova prevailed against Komarno away from home. Josip Glavinic (192-G-82) knocked down 17 points, distributed 13 assists and grabbed 7 rebounds for the winners. Martin Bilik finished with 16 points as Handlova improved at 6-3 record. Marcel Madaj answered with 23 points and 10 boards for Komarno.

Michal Batka contributed 17 points in the winning effort. Clifford Crawford knocked down 19 points, issued 9 assists, made 5 boards and 5 steals in defeat.
