Prievidza - Komarno 84-70

Prievidza celebrated the first win in the title series as they rallied past Komarno at home court. Komarno was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 46-27 second half run of Prievidza. They also forced 20 Komarno turnovers and outrebounded them 41-30 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Komarno was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. British swingman Paul Guede (195-87, college: Portland St., agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds. Bermudas-British swingman Sullivan Phillips (198-79, college: Wash.Adventist) contributed with 21 points for the winners. American guard Johnathon Jones (183-88, college: Oakland, agency: TSS Management) replied with 17 points and 4 assists and Slovenian forward Sinisa Bilic (201-89) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Komarno. Four Komarno players scored in double figures.

Svit defeated Nitra at home court to level the consolation final series. The game without a history. Svit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Svit especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.3 percentage. 25 personal fouls committed by Nitra helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Latvian forward Martins Berkis (198-85) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. Croatian guard Petar Cosic (186-85, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 21 points and 8 assists. The former international center Branislav Tomek (205-83) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and international guard Milan Ziak (190-88) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.

25-year old swingman Milic Blagojevic (200-G/F-91) had a great game in the last round for Lucenec and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 34. He had the game-high 30 points adding nine rebounds for Lucenec in his team's victory, helping them to beat Nova Ves (#10, 6-25) 77-72. Lucenec maintains the 8th position in Slovakian league. The most important game in the last round took place in MBK Handlova between third ranked Prievidza (20-10) and seventh ranked Handlova (15-16) on Wednesday night.
